Today is the day..

Bells kept ringing in distance and it was starting to get on my nerves.

Looking around in my bed, I finally found my phone. "Its only freaking 8 am" I thought why would anyone be at our door this early and why isn't anyone I answering? 

I groaned and got out of bed walking out, and down the stairs to the front door. "Mom, there's someone at the door" I yelled. But no one answered, I unlock and open the door, without even checking who was, I could care less, I just want to get back in bed at this point. 

There in front me, stood a dozen or so of the ladies from our pack. They were all smiling, some had their hands full. 

"I don't mean to be rude but why are you guys here so early?" I asked. 

"Ohh, We are here to help set up for the party, later this afternoon. There is so much to do, your parents knew we were coming." Answered one of the elder ladies in back. 

"Aww. Did we wake you? Sorry hun" said Miss Kay 

"We tried knocking but no one answered" added Laura.  

"I guess it's ok, come on in. I'll go get Mom" I said as I held the door open for everyone to enter. They all just simply nodded and walked in, some even said Good Morning. 

I directed them to the living room. I dismissed my self and went on search of my missing mother.  

I went to the kitchen but surprisingly it was empty. There on the counter was a note.  

« Good Morning, hun. 

Your Dad & I are doing some errands before the party but we will be back soon. Some of the ladies from our pack are coming by later on. If we're not back by then, let them in and give them list attached to the fridge. They'd know what to do, so you don't worry. And Don't worry about the kids, Dianna is at a sleep over and Janiel is at Mama G's house.. So I guess you have the house to your self.

As I finished reading the letter. I walked tours the fridge and grab the note. She is  always prepared and thinks ahead every time.

I walked tours the living room with the note in hand, as I walked in the chatter stopped and everyone stares. I smile shyly, and hand the note Miss Kay. 

"My parents are out doing errands, and said to give you this. Mom said you should know what to do"  

Miss Kay reads the note and smiled. "Ok, girls let's get to work," she said "We have party to set for." As soon as she finishes everyone stands and goes into different directions. Most head tours the kitchen, all smiling and giggling. 

Miss Kay walks tours me, "It's ok, dear. Everyone knows what to do, so you can run along. We'll be fine" she reassures me. I nodded and head up the stairs.

As I walked by mirror on the hall, I gasp as caught site of my reflection. Oh God, my long curly hair was a mess. It looks like a big birds ness. And I totally forgot that I was still in my sleeping clothes, which are some shorts and an a T-shirt, how embarrassing. "Oh well, not everyone can be sleeping Beauty" I though and I continue to walk to my room. 

As I get there, there's a bunch yellow sticky notes lined up on my door. First one said » Don't worry I'm not mad at you :-P» Next one said » Even though you forgot its my birthday»,  »Didn't even get me anything. You suck!!»,  »or even wished me a happy birthday Smh» The last one said »And NO tricks or pranks -Jan» 

I smiled to myself as I read it. "AWWW, he knows me so well" I say as I wipe a fake tear and open my door. I flop face down on my bed.  

Today is going to be such a long say.

After about half an hour, I was done being lazy. I finally gotten up and took a shower. I got ready for the day. Since it was still early and the party didn't started until later this evening. Simply dressed casually, some shorts, a black Vneck, my favorite flip flops and let my hair air dry.

I headed down stairs and into the kitchen for some breakfast, when I almost ran up into Laura.  

"Sorry, Sorry" I tryed to explain.  

"It's ok, I was just headed your way, anyways. Miss Kay though you would like some breakfast" she answered. As I notice the tray in her hands.  

"Ohh thanks, that was not necessary." I said "You know, how she is and she couldn't let you go on without a good breakfast." She answered handling me the tray, and returning the way she came. 

I followed and sat at the dinning room table, all by myself. It felt kinda weird, me sitting here while everyone else was doing something. Such a big table just for me, I ate my delicious eggs and toast, and had some juice. After finishing, I went to wash the dishes and to thank Miss Kay.

Our kitchen was converted into some kind of bakery, there were cookies, on the counters and all the ladies were spread out in kitchen, each doing their own recipes. They'll smiled as they took my presence in. 

"There you are. How was breakfast?" Asked Miss Kay. 

"It was great, thank you. You didn't have to go thru the trouble. I could have had some cereal." I responded. 

"Nonsense, Alpha" she answer, smiled sweetly and bowed her head in a sign of respect. I couldn't help but smile back. Sometimes it's Nice to know that not everyone it against me being their Alpha.  

After finishing washing my the dishes, and insisting that it was fine that I could to it. I sat at the breakfast bar and asked what I could help with. I didn't exactly have plans for today anyways. They insisted that it was fine that I didn't have to help that they would be fine, that perhaps I could go for a run or something. To not worry that my parents soon will be home and I didn't need to waste my time, when I could be having fun. It didn't feel right having them work, and I played. I argued but Miss Kay minded link me that some of the ladies, were nervous about me helping them with such simple stacks, since I was their future Alpha and I should be enjoying my time now. I though about it and finally agreed and So I left for a run...
