Chapter 10: Little Journey ?

Mia's POV

I hate that everytime I ask a question, I get the most vague answers . That's been happening a lot lately ... I have no idea as to why  I dont just get straight forward answers.

I have the right to know damn it !

"Dont worry Mia, everything will make sense soon. Give it time to all sink in ,but there is just one thing ..."  she drifts off.

"What's that?"  My anxiety is clearly visible : the tiny squeak from the table , it's complaints as I grip the it's edge.

"I'll never undertand why ,in Zeus' name ,Mia , why you're wearing THAT." Echo waves her hand at my very skimpy french maids outfit.

I feel my face heat up at my very evident embaressment. Hiding my face ,I make an attempt to cover a fraction of my thighs with the skirt... which isnt working AT ALL.
Thank you for putting me in the hot seat Echo. Thank you so very much...

"Back off Echo." The girl on Alexadra's left retorts, immediatly I'm mesmorised by her appearence. She's by far the strangest out of any of us sitting here.

Her waist length jet black hair resembles my own but her eyes ... well they're red.

I mean ,actually red ,my mind can't seem to wrap around why she has red cornea

"Here. Let me help." She giggles.
Waving her hand at me ,my skirt dematerealises and a pair of black jeans takes its place . The corset remains but my hair changes to a simple high pony.

"Uhm thank you." Brushing my now covered legs a wave of relief washes over me.

"Bernice ..."  she states
"The victor of Eons." She adds and gives me the most candid wink.

The smell of the food laid out infront of us trigures a loud and suspecious sound to errupt from my stomach. Silence falls on the group, ALL eyes are on me as everyone looks at me with ridicoulus expressions planted on their faces.

As if I havent gone through enough already.

" well...  I think what Mia is trying to say is that it's time to eat. "Echo chimes through her laughs everyone only nods in agrement  as they giggle at my abdomen's sudden outburt. 

As we were all talking - Well everyone regailing me with a few of their life stories of battles and love ,broken hearts and broken faces ,I must admit , I do feel the strong connection we share through the ages

What feels like hours pass by so we walked down the hill and sat under a tree only to talk more .

Starring at the sky words flood into my mind ...'lord of the underworld. Punishment. Eternity.'

"Alexandra. Why am i here? What did YOU do that I'M being punished for ?"

Did i say something wrong? ...

Everyone's faces tell stories of pain and sorrow. Alexandra's is one of pure dread. She lowers her head when suddenly a strong breeze blows past us pulling our hair to the east . I notice a mark on Alexandra's collerbone. A black infinity sign ,beautifully ingraved into her skin.

"Alexandra?"  I press , what is she hiding from me . Anastasia touches her ,willing her to confess to me.

"I hate this part."  Is all that comes out of her mouth. She looks me dead in the eye

The six girls bow their heads to us and the world becomes cold.

Alexandra's eyes glow a bright blue ,the tattoo doing the same as she tilts her head to the sky , blue tears fall down her cheeks.

The girls link hands where Echo and Zoe hold both my palms . Looking at the sky as their own eyes begin to glow . All of them must have a tattoo of their own , Zoe's being on her left shoulder and Anastastia'on her right wrist . All of them begin to radiate a strong aura that links between us all , engulfing us all in that moment.

Alexandra strides towards me ,eyes fixated on me. Im taken aback when she kneels infront of me ,taking both my hands in hers .

Pressing her right palm on my chest she says
"How about we take a little journey?"
