Lilly's POV
The rain still poured after it happened, drenching me as a 6'7 teenage male stood in front of me.
He had black hair that clung wetly to his forehead, and bright blue eyes that sparked and seemed to glow. His face was all and all...perfect. He had a sharp jawline, and plump pink lips that looked so soft.
His lips parted, revealing sharp long canines. I gasped, shuffling father away from him, my back eventually hit another tombstone though.
Assessing him, I noticed he was wearing a black V-neck, with black pants and black combat boots, he also had his red collar still on. His skin was a pale white, almost like the sun had never once touched it with it's rays.
My hand flew to my mouth as I realized this handsome boy in front of me was Devil, my husky.
His hands rose in front of his eyes and he gasped, examining himself.
Devil's eyes widened and he looked at me. I looked back at him, my heart racing.
"Lil-l-l-l-l-ly?" His voice was deep and drawling, with a bit of a gruffness to it.
"Devil?" Tears sprung to my eyes. He nodded, walking on unsteady legs toward me.
I stumbled, standing up. I had to crane my neck once he stood in front of me so I could see his eyes.
He looked so pained and confused, tears were mixing with the raindrops on his porcelain cheeks.
"Lilly...you can understand me?" I nodded slowly, not actually believing this is possibly.
He wrapped his arms around my waist, picking me up with surprising strength. I flung my arms around his neck, and my legs encircled his waist as I pressed my body against his. His hands moved to grip my thighs right below my butt.
Devil dropped to the ground, gently cradling me in his arms. "Lilly...my Lilly..." He whispered against my ear making me shiver.
My hands wandered into his soaking hair. It felt like his fur when he was a husky.
He stood up, me in his arms, with no effort. He walked out of the cemetery, taking the path that led back to the house. My face was buried in the crook of his neck, breath brushing over his skin gently.
His long legs made their way up the steps to my house. Opening it up and then closing it. he kicked off his boots and my flats fell from my feet. Next thing I know, Im being set down on my king bed. I look up at him questioningly, only to see him standing next to my body mirror, taking his shirt off. His hands wondered along his chest, which was perfectly normal.
"Devil? Are you okay?" I spoke, stammering. Finding it strange that Im talking to my dog but he's not a dog...and he can talk back...
"Lilly, am I human?" He questioned calmly, even though there was a hint of panic in his tone.
"I...I don't know.." I stood up, making my way over to him, placing my hands on his shoulder blades. I felt him shiver under my touch. He turned, so now my hands were pressed against his chest. He looked at me with his big puppy eyes and smiled sadly, his canines threatening to slip over his bottom lip. "I don't know what you are..."
Devil's lip quivered and a tear fell, but he smiled at me anyways.
I turned away, dropping my hands, which eventually found it's way into my hair, my breathing becoming frantic.
"What are we going to do? You aren't a dog, Im not sure if you are human. What am I going to do? I have to go to school tomorrow. Charlie will question where you are..." I noticed Devil tense at Charlie's name, but he didn't say anything.
