We Go Missing

Chapter Six

I starred at the door in shock. "Hi" said Sophie as she walked through the door. My mouth was open. I couldn't believe it. "Are you a Wiz too?" I asked. "Yeah, I've been a Wiz for 8 years and in a week I'm gonna move on to a Wizard" she said. "So all this time you knew I was a Wiz also" I asked. "Yes, I was sent to the mortal land to watch over you and protect you from all the evils that have been trying to come after you." she said. I was confused. What evils? And do my parents know about this? "Is my mom and dad a Wizard?" I asked. "No, your grandma was." said Ompa. "You mean Grandma Danny" I asked. "Yes. She died in the mortal land 2 years ago." he said. "What do you mean the mortal land?" "Is she still alive in the non-mortal land?" I asked. A smile appeared on my face. "Yes." said Ompa. A smile appeared on his face and Sophie's. I ran to Sophie and gave her a hug. She hugged me back. "What's this for" she laughed. "For protecting me from all the evils" I said as I laughed. "Anything from my best friend" she said. "Come on girls. Let's go see Jayle's Grandma. We followed Ompa out the door.

As we walked out the room I could see all of XWays. We passed by offices of people doing work on computers and day cares full of baby's using magic by accident. A baby picked up a rattle with his powers and threw it towards us. Luckily the rattle missed us. "Oh my god" said Sophie. We started to laugh. As we were walking I turned around. I had taken a glance at behind me and kept walking. I slowed down and stop walking. I turned around again. "S-s-Sam!" I yelled. I ran up to him and jumped into his arms. I leaned my head on his shoulder and started to cry. "Are you-" I said as I chocked on my words and continued crying. I took my head off his shoulder and looked at him as he held me in his arms. "Are you a Wiz too" I asked. "Yeah" he said. "That's why I disappeared in the closet. They had just told me I'm a Wiz. So I'm just as new to this thing as you." He said. He put me down. "You sacred me!" I said as I slapped his shoulder. "Ow! I'm sorry" he said. We starred at each other for a second and started to laugh. "Guys come on! Enough of this "Soap Oprah" can we go!" said Sophie. "Nice to see you too Sophie" Sam said. "Yeah yeah, let's go!" Sophie said as she grabbed my hand.
