Danny entered his apartment and placed his guitar by the door, then pulled his hoodie off as he made his way to the computer. That was what his life pretty much consisted of: hanging out with friends, guitar and computer. Sure, there was his job, but that was part of the latter, seeing as he worked as a site manager. People were really desperate for those since they wouldn't know their way around programming for the life of them.
He pressed a random key on his keyboard and heard the familiar melody of the computer waking from 'Sleep'. After tapping his password and waiting for it to open, he accessed his browser and entered Facebook after playing his Youtube music playlist, and opened up a message his friend left.
'Dud, forgot ur fav guitar pick here.'
Patting his chest, on which said pick would usually hang by his necklace, he realized that he indeed forgot it. He was just about to respond and tell him he'd get it back tomorrow when suddenly all of his applications closed, letting him face his desktop image, which consisted of him and his girlfriend.
He stared at it confused, until the screen suddenly turned black, causing him to squint. After a few seconds, though, a figure appeared in the middle of the screen. A guy not much younger than him, surrounded by the darkness of his room that caused his features to be hard to pick up. He could only tell that his skin was unhealthily pale, since it stood in such contrast with the blackness around, and he had a v-shaped face that presented serious dark circles and slender cheeks.
"Hai!" the man greeted in a friendly manner, raising his white palm.
Danny tilted his head suspiciously.
"This... Dagnit. I was s'posed to have a speech prepared for this, but... now that I'm actually interacting with you after having crept on you from distance, it's... aaah..." he trailed off, giggling. The way he spoke was really goofy, like he was playing silly, which he most probably wasn't since he managed to get into a man's computer.
"I gotta say, man, you know your computers. I almost had problems getting past your Firewall."
Almost, Danny noticed with annoyance. He paid a whole load of money on that program and all it did was almost give a hacker problems.
"Speaking of which, you can call me Virus. Since that's what I am at the moment? Something that manipulates your computer without your management?" he said, grinning proudly at his accomplishment.
"In case you're wondering why I chose to torment you, it's because I had happened to stumble across your Facebook profile, and you seemed like a cool guy! I could use getting some things off my chest once in a while so I decided to just, do this whole thing." he said, gesturing to the scenery in general.
Danny felt a grin creep up his face at the situation. Him, from all people, managed to get himself this kind of attention by simply looking handsome in a profile photo. He was by nature a laid-back sort of guy that saw the best in everything, so he could only be glad that such thing occurred in his life. He liked spontaneous happenings.
"So yeah. Nice to meet you." Virus said.
And just like that, their friendship had begun.

Danny liked this Virus individual. The man would enter his computer almost evening, chatting happily about his day and sneaking humorous jokes here and there. Danny couldn't to respond to them, but he was a great listener and enjoyed his appearances dearly.
