No! Stop! Wait!
I have to leave, or I'm going to be late to school! I run after the bus but it's no use. I won't make it, so I go back running to my house and grabbing my mom's keys to the car. I know I'm not going to make it on time running. I get inside my mom's minivan. Once I turn on the car I notice something. It's not turning on! Crap!
I see a note at the passengers seat:
Car is not working. Fix in about a week!
Oh my gosh! I don't have time for this! I get off the car and I go running to school. I am going to be late!
While I'm running I see a car slow down,"Need a ride!" Yep. It's Emmet.
Me: "No!" I'm still running and sweat is starting to run down my face.
Allen:"Why not?"
Me: "Because I have legs!"
Allen: "You know you won't make it on time with those legs."
Me:"So, what wrong with my "So called legs?"
"Nothing," he says too supicious that I stop also making him stop the car. I give him a harsh glare. He shrugs.
"What's wrong with my legs?" I look down at my legs wondering what's wrong with them.
"Well.....," he scratches his head."You are pretty slow with them compared to a car."
"Oh! You-" He cuts me off.
"Do you really want to complain right now? We're already late?" He opens the passenger door for me. Well, I have no choice than to get in, so I do.
It's true I won't make it on time with my legs. I am a pretty slow runner, but I have been getting faster since I'm used to being late to everywhere and the such a rush. I roll my eyes knowing that he's right.
Emmet:"Don't roll your eyes at me Ms. Sassy pants."
Me:"Sorry bad habit!" I didn't think he noticed.
Emmet:"Hey about um... yesterday?"
Me:"Yeah." I give him a confused look.
Emmet :"Would you be my girlfr-"
Yes!
Me:"No!"
Emmet:"Come on!"
Me:"No I have enough problems to deal with."
Emmet:"Oh! So I'm a problem to you?"
Me:"Yes. You finally understand."
Emmet:"Come on! At least one date! Pleasseee?!"
I would love to date you forever!
Me:"Oh my gosh your so annoying!"
Emmet :"Yes! I know! So I'll pick you up at 6:00."
Me:"Wait! Today?!"
Emmet:"Yeah. Do you have plans already with someone else?"
Me:"Yes."
I actually don't have plans unless I go to Amanda's party which now I have to say because I don't want to be alone with him on a date.
Emmet:"Oh! With who?" He looks sad. Aw! He so cute!
Me:"Well Katy invited me-"
Emmet:" Let me guess to Amanda's party?" Wow. He good at this,"Well I'll go with you to watch you so Amanda doesn't do anything to hurt you."
Awwwww! He's so sweet, but also why now! Why does he care so much now and didn't do anything before?
"Well, I really don't care if you do. I can defend myself. "
He looks at my arms. My weak arms, and just laughs.
Me:"Hey don't laugh it's not like you've ever been there when I need help. Why help me now?" He opened his mouth to speak but I didn't let him,"You know, don't answer. Katy invited me and I'm going I don't care what you or your little "buddies" do to me. Hit me, punch me, kick me! I don't care! I need some time for myself. I can! I mean I CAN defend myself."
He gives me a blank stare with no expression like I'm a monster.
Emmet:"It's a date then!"
Me:"What?! Did you not understand my speech I just gave you?" I'm so surprised! I thought he got scared or something.
Emmet:"Why would I, love?"
I just sigh and groan. Boys! I look out the window like a little child mad at my parents. I could tell from the corner of my eye he was smiling or wanting to laugh. He likes it when I'm mad.
On the way to school it was quiet. We got there and we went our separate ways. Emmet has different classes from me classes while I have honors. Thank god! Except in one class. We both have Language Arts together. Ugh!
I get to my first period class: Gym. I hate gym. We really don't work out at all and girls always whine that what we are doing in gym is so hard. We bearly do anything. I want to actually do something!

The rest of school went like a flash. I got out of school and I went walking home. Yeah, I got tripped three times making everything fall with no one to help, I got shoved "accedentally" to my locker twice today, but luckily I didn't get hit.
Emmet wanted me to take a ride with him but I said no. I really need some time on my own. Some time to think and get some fresh air. Once I get home Emmet texts me. I think he was watching me because once I got inside I got his message.
Don't forget shortcake. We have a date today😘
Oh my gosh! I totally forgot! And its not a date he is just gonna be there. Eh! I'm fine. Plus how did he get my phone number? I didn't bother to answer back. I was so tired I decided to take a quick 10 to 15 minute nap.
I guess I took more than 15 minutes because I feel someone tap me. I slowly open my eyes. I immidietly sit up on my bed. It's Emmet!
Me:"What are you doing here?" I look at him with complete confusion.
Emmet: He grins at me."You're door was open. You should really start closing it. Someone is going to kidnap you one day." He points a finger to me like if I did something bad.
I'm starting to think that he wants to kidnap me.
Emmet:"Get ready, or were going to be late! You said Kate is going right?" I nod slowly, "and Caleb?" I nod slowly again,"Ok you change quickly while I go get them two, okay? Then we can ride all together."
Wait?! So now we're friends? This is some wierd kid. I mean it. We just started to talk yesterday and it's like if he is my best friend or so. Even though he is kind of sweet. I actually obey him and go upstairs to my room and change quick. Once I come down I see everyone so dressed and I'm here with my jeans and my Hollister shirt.
Caleb:"EGH! She's good enough. Hurry! Let's go before we're late."
Kate:"I agree!"
I wait Emmet to say something to me like ' you should change,' but instead he looks at me with admiration. I wave my hand around his face to wake up. He does.
Me:"Are you okay?"
Emmet:"Never been better."
He gives me a cute smile I just want to hug him. Instead, not to make it obvious that I love him I roll my eyes and say sarcastically,"Sureee! What a great liar."
Emmet:"I lie, but I would never lie to you."
Awwwww! He so cute! I swear I could just kiss him right now! Calm down julliette! Calm down! It is only Emmet. Just play hard to get.
Me:"Whatever."
