Chapter 14 demon's delight pt.4

bill and luna

"hey bill do you smell that?" luna asked as she sniffed the air.

"oh no , someone's burning an elderwood tree" bill said ,then he ran up to luna and grabbed her arm.

"we have to get out of here" bill said as he tried to pull luna , but utterly failed.

"why are you so scared of him ?" luna asked.

"you have a good point , i still have my powers so i can fight him"bill said as he stood up taller.

"wait ,what?I thought you didn't have your powers anymore"luna said as her ears shifted around.

"well i sort of...." but before bill could finish ,luna covered his mouth in order for her to listen.

Than her ears stopped ,pointing straight forward.

"he's here" luna whispered.

Bill looked around and seen nothing.

"where?" he asked.

"there"luna said as she pointed to the woods in front of them.

"i don't see him at all"bill said as he squinted his eyes.

" i hear him not see him" luna said.

"well than he might not know where here" bill said as he picked up all of the ingredients and put them in the bag.

" bill i can see him now" luna said as she was face to face with the beast.

"i don't think he could have gotten here that fast"bill said turning around to look in luna's direction

"well children , your very much far from home " the beast said as he walked closer and the forest grew darker.

" whatever you do don't make a deal with him" bill whispered into luna's ear.

" what do you want from us?luna asked.

"oh children i just thought you might want some help getting home" the beast said in a sly tone.

"never you walking edelwood tree" Luna yelled.Then kicked the beast square in the head breaking one of his antlers and making him drop his lantern.

"maybe i should destroy your lantern?"luna asked as she picked up the lantern.

"NO,DON'T ,I'LL DO ANYTHING AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DESTROY THAT LANTERN"the beast pleated.

(sigh) "fine .. but under one condition, you do not harm anyone outside of the unknown , unless for a really good reason ,and on my part i will try to fix whatever made you come here, okay?"luna asked.

" I agree to these terms , but it's very lonely in the unknown ,the woodsman , beatrice, wirt , greg , and all of the others are gone , if i do your terms you must allow me to visit you once in awhile young witch "the beast said.

"fine ..deal" luna said as she shook his dark hand.

The beast then placed something in her hand.

"the reason i'm here is that someone burned down a edelwood tree , that is an edelwood sapling , i need you to plant that where the last one was burned"the beast said , then he disappeared back into the forest.

"what was the one thing i told you not to do"bill said after he finally started breathing again

"make a deal with the beast"

"and what did you do?"

"made a deal with the beast" luna said with her deer ears perking down.

"well anyways he's gone so good job, now let's find the idiot that lit the edelwood tree"bill said as he stormed toward the smoke.
