Austin's POV
When Aaron told me about this girl who fronted a new band, I didn't know what to expect. What genre were they? Was she like Jenna or Tay or even Hayley, as those three were compared quite often for some reason? What were they all like?
They finished their set and walked off stage, packing up their equipment. She was just coming back from packing away the drum set when Aaron called out to her, complimenting their performance. I decided to go and meet her and the rest of the band followed.
She had a combination of straight and wavy brunette hair that went down past her shoulders and fringe that swooped across her forehead. She wore a turquoise beanie, a Blink-182 shirt, a pair of blue skinny jeans, and black vans. And she had tattoos covering all of her left arm and her hands.
I actually remembered meeting the girl, Lena, last year at our meet and greet. I remembered her because of all her tattoos and I noticed she had gotten more since then. She even had a little ampersand on her thumb, like I did. I smiled when I saw that one.
A year ago she was just a fan and now she was in one of the bands. That must've been pretty exciting. I know it was for me when our band was asked to go on Warped Tour.
"I've been coming to see you guys play at Warped since 2010. The lineup sure has changed a bit since then." She said.
It definitely had changed a lot. Of Mice & Men had now gone to Warped Tour for three years (counting this year) but this was only my second. It was also Alan's second and Aaron's first. But Tino and Phil had been there through it all.
"You have a really nice voice for this kind of music. I was definitely impressed." Alan said. "What kind of guitar did you use for that song?"
"Oh God, I've had that thing forever. It's an Ibanez, but I can't remember specifics." She answered.
For a bit we all talked about music until four guys joined Lena's side. They introduced themselves as Tom, Alex, Curtis, and Sam; Lena's band mates. They mentioned that she was the OM&M fan of their band and she blushed a bit. I guess she hadn't brought it up so she wouldn't seem like some obsessed fan.
"We need to hang out some time. New favorite band, right here." I said, giving Lena a hug.
"Absolutely." She said, still wrapped in my arms.
Tom looked down at his watch then turned to the rest of his band. "We've got to get to our signing. It was awesome meeting you guys."
"You too!" Tino called and we all waved as they walked away.
"Those guys are awesome. I'd definitely like to hang out with them sometime." Alan said.
I agreed with him. They were a cool new band and by the sound of it, the were similar to us and A Day To Remember. I even heard the tiniest of Slipknot influences in there.
Within the next few days, we became pretty good friends with them. I even helped them out a bit. I tweeted to all my followers, telling them to check out Infamously Unknown. And sure enough, people did. I saw their crowds got a little bigger with every day.
I could tell we were forming friendships that would last.
A/N: I know this chapter was short but I had a bit of writer's block and really the only idea I could think up was putting a scene in a different person's perspective. I know this sucked. Sorry. :/ Comment , maybe?
