*Maddie's POV.*
I got a text from Luke, or who I assumed to be Luke but I didn't answer it right away. Corie went home, and Maddie stayed to help me get ready for what ISN'T a date. I finally decided to answer the text.
From: Lukey<3; Hey. You ready yet?
No. I wasn't ready AT ALL. I'm a girl, it takes me forever to get ready. Aha.
From: Meh. ;p : Actually no. I'm still getting ready, sorry for keeping you waiting. When exactly are you coming to pick me up though?
"Maddie, quick! I gotta get ready soon, I don't wanna keep Lukey- Uh I mean Luke waiting."
Maddie looks at me weird, and I just smile. "You like him, don't you." Uhg. She just has to think that, doesn't she? It's not true though. I like him, but as a FRIEND. Nothing more. Okay yeah, he's hot, but I barely know him... "No..." I say. "Whatever." Maddie said, obviously not believing me. My phone beeped, and I checked it.
From: Lukey<3; Erm, whenever you're ready I guess(:
From: Meh. ;p : Kay. I'll be ready in maybe 20 minutes? you can pick me up then. x
"Maddz, could you curl my hair?" I asked her. I love my hair curly, but it'll never stay for me... "Sure Jai." Yay. While the curling iron was heating up, I went to change into my bikini. I come out of the bathroom wearing my bikini, and Maddie says "You look gorgeous! Luke is gonna love you haha!" Well good- what? I mean uh... I said nothing. "You think so?" I say, smiling like an idiot. Maddie just shook her head. I walked over to my closet and slipped on a cover-up. It's my favorite one. It's light blue, and the one off the shoulder sleeve. Uhg. This is just going to be perfect. "Do you want your hair curled or not? He'll be here soon." Maddie said. "Fine." I sat down on the chair at my vanity, and Maddie curled my hair. I didn't bother putting hairspray in it, because Luke and I might go swimming in the lake. My phone beeped once more, and like always; it was Luke. I should really set a special ringtone for him. aha.
From: Lukey<3; just making sure you're ready. ;p can i pick you up now? haha.
From: Meh. ;p : Yes you may. Thanks for asking<3

I was sitting up in my room with Maddie, when we here a knock at the door. Yay, Lukey is here... And I just called him 'Lukey' again... wow. I ran down the stairs with Maddie following not far behind. "One Second!" I yelled, hoping Luke would hear. I run into the kitchen where my mom was, and gave her a hug and said "Bye mom, I'm going somewhere with a friend, I'll be back home soon. Love you." before she could say anything back, I was running towards the door. I open the door to see Luke standing there with some flowers. Oh god. "Hey." I say. "Heyy." Luke says smiling. Oh. My. God. His smile is beautiful... He's beautiful. What? Uh. I didn't mean that? I just like him as a friend, that's it. Nothing more. "Ready?" "Yeah."

Luke can't drive yet, so Ashton drove us. As I got into the car, Ashton said 'hi' to me. I simply waved and smiled. "So, what lake are we going to?" I asked, but Luke didn't know obviously. "To be honest, I don't know what it's called, but it's really pretty, and at sunset it's just beautiful. I know you'll love it." He said. "Okay, well Ashton, do you know?" "Nope. Just know where it is." Whale den... Haha. My phone beeped, I looked at it, and it was Maddie. Uhg. What does she want now. aha.
From Maddz!!~: How's it going on your 'not a date'? c;
From: Meh. ;p : One; It's NOT a date. Two; We just left like 3 minutes ago. and Three; ... It's going to be perfect<3
Luke looked down at my phone, and then looked at me. "What?" I asked, not knowing why he was staring at me. "Nothing." I rolled my eyes. It obviously wasn't 'nothing'. "Who ya texting? Corie?" he asked, no but close. "No, Maddie." "Oh." My phone beeped once again, and it was Maddz.

From: Meh. ;p : Haha, maybe- what? uh I didn't mean that.... c; <3
Luke looked back down at my phone before I could send the message, and he asked "You... You like me back?" No. No. No. NO. NO. He just had to find out this way? really? "Uh...Maybe?" I'm so awkward.
