Enemies? Enemies
"Meri! Meri! Meri!" Punz annoyingly called fer me in repeat.
"Punz! Punz! Punz!" Ah fake-screamed to annoy her as well, laughing mah ass off after, seeing her as pissed off as ah was just seconds ago. Mah laugh was contagious though so she giggled along. When we finished laughing 'cause o' needed oxygen, she began,
"No seriously though, can I copy your assignment for History?"
Ah rolled mah eyes, knowing how obvious th' answer was, "Duh, of course not. Do ye seriously think I'd do assignments when ah don't even do other schoolwork tha' well?"
Her brows furrowed while she pouted, sighing right after. "Gee, thanks a lot," she sarcastically replied.
Ah shot her a mischievous grin, "Ye're welcome."
"Shut up."
Soon, Sir Drac entered the room an' th' entire class died o' boredom. Although Sir Drac's a pretty good teacher alright, the lessons are just a huge turn-off, so a lot of students can't really help but hate him. Sadly.
Ah didn't hate Sir though ah was really bored, so ah couldn't help mah self an' blabbered about with Punz beside me.
"Why are we studying this?"
"To learn the culture and experiences of the country and world, which we are part of," Punz plainly replied, eyes still on the board.
Ah groaned. "All those people are dead anyway."
Ah could tell she stifled a chuckle but she still answered simply, "That's the point. We need to respect those dead people for what they did, Mer."
"Aw come on, isn't tha' unfair?"
"Is what unfair?"
"Tha' ordinary people are left forgotten while those people get discussed in lessons?"
She paused for a moment, "I see your point but whatever. Not everyone gets everything anyway."
"Bu—"
"MISS DUN BROCH," Sir Drac yelled mah name once he caught me chatting. His voice was so loud, and his weird accent wasn't helping at all. Ah turned ter him as Punz looked down ter avoid interrogation.
"Aye, sir?"
"What are you discussing with Miss Corona over there?!"
Ah eyed Punz and realized she was terrified as hell. Th' lass has a clean record an' all, compared ter me. I replied, "Nah, sir, 'twas just me. Ah was just talkin' ter mah self about history is all."
"Well Dun Broch, your monologue is disturbing students who are indulged in our discussion." He then scanned the class an' m ah eyes widened in realization.
Crap. No. Just no. No no no-
"-You will change seats and be placed next to Mr. Frost over there. At least when you make noise, you won't disturb him, since you'll be the one disturbed instead."
Th' whole class laughed, except Punz, an' me of course. Ah turned mah head ter take a look a' my new seatmate.
Jack Frost.
Ah shit. Ah do not like where this is going. Nonetheless, ah stood an' did what Drac told me to do. The last thing ah want is ter get Punz involved in mah own problems. The moment ah sat down on th' wretched chair, ah crossed mah arms and did mah best to ignore the blue lump, but Sir was right.
"Hey frizzy, what's up?" This is the first time we talked an' ahm already pissed off. Seriously, frizzy?
"Frizzy?"
He arched a brow, a smirk still plastered on his face, "I believe that's pretty obvious already."
Ah shot him a glare an' ye know what he did? He just laughed! Right at mah face! The blasted little— Ah tried mah best ter remain calm an' ah guess fer a start, ahm doin' quite well.
Ah scoffed, "Frizzy? Really? Tha's th' best ye've got, eh?"
"What'ya want then? Lady Haddock?" He smirked.
Mah eye brows furrowed, "Hey, what's tha' supposed ter mean?!"
He chuckled huskily, "God, you're a terrible liar, Frizzy. You can't hide it. I know you have an interest in my bud."
Ah blushed red in embarrassment. Because o' this, ah wasn't able ter absorb every detail clearly.
"Wait, yer friends with Hiccup?!" Since when did tha' happen? Hic's a pretty neat guy... unlike this jerk over here.
"So it's true then, you like Hic."
Ah looked away in embarrassment once more, "N-nay, ye dumbass lump, ah never said that!"
"Why did you assume I was referring to Hiccup then?" His eyebrow arched and his eyes twinkled in delight, he's probably enjoying this bullshit.
"Ahh shut up ye blue lump," Ah gave up, turning ter Drac again, trying ter listen ter the lesson instead, no matter how boring 'twas.
"Blue lump?"
"Isn't it obvious?" He was covered in blue after all—blue hoodie, blue shoes, blue eyes an' a blue aura ah couldn't describe so well. Ah was the one smirking this time. On th' other hand, he made an attempt to pout cutely but failed epically. Ew, why would he even try?
"Blue lump? Really? That's the best you've got?"
Ah eyed him again, hotly. This piece o' lump was usin' mah own words against me, the nerve! But yet again, ah started it.
He continued, "Oh wait, I forgot the accent... Blow lamp? Rally? Dazz duh bees yup gut?" Ah rolled mah eyes at his attempt at copying me accent. An' yet, ah also wasn't able ter stop mah self from laughing along with him. Ah knew ah didn't sound tha' terrible, but th' way he did it was just hilarious!
Staring at him, ah grinned, "Fair enough, Ahm Merida," Ah introduced mah self. "Merida Dun Broch."
He replied with a smile, "I'm Jackson Frost, but don't call me that. Call me, Jack." Ah took the opportunity an' smirked saying, "Well nice ter meet ye, Jackson."
His icy blue eyes widened in surprise but he grinned mischievously, trying ter hide his mistake. Ah said, trying. "You little rascal! How dare-," His hand went up to his chest as he acted being so hurt.
After rolling my eyes at his act of fakery, Jack lent me a hand an' a merely stared at it. What does this jerk want me ter do? Become friends with him?
"Enemies?" He asked, his hand still in front of me, waiting fer a handshake.
Ah smirked an' took it, "Enemies."
Right after our little truce, the bell rang an' it was finally recess! YES! Everyone stood up ter leave an' I did th' same, coming along with Punzie. What scared me though was, she had a smirk on her lips. I asked, "Oh no, did Jack get ter ye too?"
She giggled, "Oh I'd say, he got to you! I thought you like Hiccup."
"Aye," Ah nodded, blushing right after. Arching a brow, ah continued, "Who said ah didn't?"
Punz smiled, "It's just that your actions toward Frost over there proved otherwise." And ye know what? Ah stayed up th' whole dang night, tryin' ter get through mah brain what she was sayin, an' ah still didn't get what Punzie meant.
Okay, it may be a bit boring, I admit, but the more you read, it gets better.
Ta-ta!
