Sollux hates being alone and does everything in his power to be near another person/troll. This is why he didn't sleep a lot when he's in his own hive.
But he also hates being in a large crowd because he doesn't like people asking him questions. This triggered him to always say to ask someone else
So he can never be fully happy unless he only has one person with him he truly cares about that lets him sleep with them and doesn't mind his clinginess
