As I left the bay window I couldn't help but miss Riley, I know I would see her later but it just felt weird. I sighed trying to think of something else. I just ran trying to not think about anything or anyone, I reached the sidewalk in front of the Matthews home. I looked at it before headed into a taxi. Moments later the taxi reached home. I paid the driver and got out of the taxi. I then headed into the apartment building, I finally reached my front door, I knocked on it hoping for an answer. I then saw the door open and headed into it. "Sup mom" I said throwing my bag on the floor. "You didn't have to come right after I called" she replied. "I know, but I wanted to help you get ready for your date, and plus I still have to get ready for mine" I stated. "Well I'm glad you came sweetheart" mom said hugging me. "So what are you wearing for the date?" We both asked each other then we laughed. "Follow me" mom said heading towards her room, I followed behind. I sat on her bed, while she opened the closet. She pulled out a long black glittery dress. I stood up. "It's beautiful!" I said as my eyes widen. "Thank you sweetheart, I hope Shawn likes it" she said with a worried look. "I'm sure he will mom don't worry" "you're right. Now what are you wearing?" She replied. "I'll go get it" I then got my bag and the shopping bag with the dress. I went back into my mothers room. "Here it is" I said whilst taking it out of the bag. Mothers eyes widen. "It's beautiful sweetheart, I'm sure you will look wonderful in it" " Thank you mom" we then hugged. "We should probably get ready for our dates" I stated. Then mother nodded her head. I then grabbed my dress and bag then headed to my room. I put the dress on and put on some makeup, and added a sparkling silver bracelet and of course my friendship ring. I looked in the mirror, I looked okay. I put a section of my hair in a braid and got a small clutch bag. I opened my door to see my mother all dressed up. "You look amazing" I said. "You too sweetheart" mother said. We hugged once more. "I got to go to my date now, love you and have fun" mother said then kissed the top of my head. "You too" I replied. We both headed out of the door. "Hey mom, can you give me a ride to Riley's?" I asked as she locked the door. "Of course" we then got in the car and she drove towards the Matthews apartment building. We arrived there. "Bye" we both said to each other. And I left the car waving bye. I then headed into the building.
