AMBER POV

I inhale sharply, and a shiver goes down my spine.
I only get that when someone is staring at me.

I turn around to see who was staring at me, and I was hoping that it was Thomas, but it wasn't. A familiar face that I have hoped that I'd never have to see again was staring heavily at me, and my eyes widen.

Jason.

"Amber, are you okay?" Thomas noticed my horrified face, but I just ignore him and speed walk to my seat. Jason is still staring at me, and I give him the most dirtiest glare that I could make.

I shut my eyes and count to ten to calm myself down.

"A-Amber?"

THOMAS POV

"A-Amber?" My heart drops, and I realize that she might be having a panic attack.
I turn around to see what, or who she was looking at. A man of that looked my age was staring at Amber. I quickly turn back around to ask Amber who the man is.

"Amber, who is that man? And why is he staring at you?" I hissed through my teeth.

Wait a second. Is she seeing someone else? I suddenly feel like I might possibly have a panic attack myself.

"It's Jason," Amber responds, and I can hear rage laced in her voice.

"Hello, sweetheart."

AMBER POV

"Hello, sweetheart," a voice says.
My eyes flutter open, and and I slowly bring my head up to look at him.

"Jason, what the fuck are you doing here?" I spit at him, and I was outraged.

"Oh, don't talk to me like that babe," Jason responds with "hurt" in his voice, but I knew that it was fake. I turn to make eye contact with Thomas, but he was casting a dirty glare at Jason, and I felt scared for a moment.

Thomas stands up, and he is taller than Jason by at least a head.

"Leave her alone, you bastard," Thomas said with anger in his voice.

"Now."

JASON POV

"Oh, my. Now you have a boyfriend to protect you!" I laugh cruelly.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Her new boyfriend startled me for a moment.

I turn to face Amber, and say,"Your glass will shatter, and I will ruin you so much, my darling, that your Gold heart will melt in your blonde boy's grave."

I can see the pained expression on Amber's face turn into anger.

AMBER POV

I cannot believe this was happening right now. I can feel my pain turn into anger, and me being angry is not cute. His comment is quoted from a poem that he must've wrote, since he is really into poetry and that type of shit.

I roll my eyes and get up out of my seat.

"Fuck off," I loudly say to Jason, and I grab Thomas's hand.

"We're leaving, let's go Thomas." We walk out of the door of the coffee shop, and that bell rings again, but it doesn't sound as cheerful as it did when I first walked in.

Oh well.
