He opened the door to find her standing there, crying.  He didn't understand what he'd done to her, but he would by the time she was finished.  It was time.  She'd fought against it for so long.  He looked into her eyes and saw pure sadness.  He felt weak and fell to his knees.  Tears running down his face, he falls to the floor and watches as the love of his life fall from her stool.  The rope pulled tightly around her neck and she moved slightly for a few moments.  Soon she hung there lifelessly, but with a small smile on her face, like she was truly happy for once.  He had never seen her smile, not really for the five years they were dating.  Now he would never get to see her smile again.

The room spun for Noah as he woke up on a bump in the rails.  The cart of the train wobbled as he tried to stand up.  A guard pushed him to sit down, and Noah had to comply with the strength of the guard.  Three other guards rushed in and all pointed their rifles at Noah's head.  Threatening to shoot, one guard said through his hazard mask, "Stay down!  We don't want to hurt you.  You will stay calm until we get to the facility."  Noah glared out the window and didn't say a word.  The only thing he could see out the window was rubble and boarded houses.

The third anniversary of the accident was in a week and Noah gets to spend it in a "facility."  The men in white suits kept taking people in groups, seemingly randomly ever since that day.  In 2015, the war in the Middle East needed to be stopped.  The President of the United States ordered a nuclear strike in the Middle East.  The bombs were boarded upon a confidential standard bomber.  The plane was shot down by U.S. artillery.  It crashed into a city about 80 miles from my small town.

The city was annihilated, and the outlying cities are now home to men in white and yellow suits.  The former tenants were evacuated.  Noah and his family were the last of the remaining tenants to be evacuated.  They broke into his home, the men in hazard masks with rifles, and boarded Noah and his family in different train carts.
