(A/N) First fanfic. Sorry if there's any grammatical errors or too many Levi's. For those who are too lazy to read the summary, I will only be using the characters seen in the anime so there won't be any manga spoilers (yay). The organization 'EAGLE' is made up by me, and has no correlation with the anime/manga whatsoever. I'll stop talking now since you probably didn't even read this anyways. Enjoy!
__________________________A feeling of dread washes over (Y/N) as she hears the sound of footsteps drawing closer.
"No...no more...", she whimpered with quivering lips. The figure of a scientist looms over her, face hidden behind a medical mask. With a tremendous amount of effort, she manages to crane her head in the direction of the man's hand preparing a syringe, filling it with a strangely coloured liquid. (Y/N) lays her head back down, scrunching her eyes at the familiar sensation of a needle piercing her skin.
The first couple of times she had a needle stuck in her arm, she was squirming and kicking about, though to no avail as her wrists and ankles were restrained with iron straps. (A/N Iron straps? Idek) Of course, all this movement had ultimately just resulted in more pain than the needle would have caused initially. The soreness of her throat after screaming at the top of her lungs still lingers in her mind to this day, and how her voice remained hoarse for a few days afterwards.
How many years has it been now? How many experiments have been carried out on her?
At first, (Y/N) was keeping track. She thought that maybe, just maybe, she'd be able to retain some of her sanity by doing so. After hundreds, possibly even thousands of tests, she stopped counting. By now, she had already become numb to the sting of the needle forcing its way through her skin. The one thing she will never be able to shake off though, what she'll never become immune to, is the unpredictable effect of whatever substance was being injected into her veins.
"I wonder what's going to happen this time?", the scientist spoke, voice laced with a hint of insanity. His eyes widened a fraction and his mask wrinkled up, indicating that he was smiling. For a few minutes, (Y/N) felt completely fine.
But then the pain came rushing in. Her entire being, from head to toe, felt like it was burning from the inside out. You know that feeling when someone shreds up your insides and shoves you in an oven? Probably not. But that's the kind of excruciating agony (Y/N) was experiencing at this moment. Her vocal chords were on fire as her screams echoed off the walls of the room, practically a torture chamber. If she had the choice to be either in this hellhole, or actual hell, she'd probably pick the latter. A maniacal laugh erupts from the scientist's throat, soon dying down to soft cackles. As he calmed himself, he mockingly questions, "How does it feel? I hope I won't have to use the anesthetics!"
His voice was tuned a few octaves higher than usual, showing the joy and pleasure he obtained from inflicting such torment upon her. In her current condition, (Y/N) could barely hear the scientist. Her mind clouded as she toppled on verge of unconciousness. After going through what seemed to be an eternity of immeasurable pain, her right eye changed into a kakugan. Pupil turning into a fierce red, whereas the sclera switching to a pitch black. However, her other eye remained the same.(Y/N) (L/N) was a one-eyed ghoul.

(A/N) okay, I MAY have forgotten that an object can't pierce a ghoul's skin, considering the knife broke when Kaneki tried to stab himself in episode 1. Aaand I also just remembered you can pierce a ghoul through the eyeball somewhere, but oh well! Just pretend that never happened yeah?Sorry if it was a bit short, I'm a lazy person ._.
