Storybrooke always seemed like a strange place. It is a small Maine town tucked away in the middle of a forest. It was a place where no one left and no one entered, it was all quite serene. I stumbled across it when I got lost once. There was a red line, almost as if it was a border. So I reached out my right hand, shaking and edged closer to the barrier, my fingers were parallel to the ground. My fingertips touched a light and somehow, the light shaped neatly around my fingers. I reached even closer until my hand was completely across the line. It sounds crazy but I've always believed in magic, and more importantly, what it's capable of. I crossed the line completely, my entire body passed the tense sensation behind me. I wandered up the long, winding road as the wind whispered to the trees, as if it was giving out a warning. A warning that someone new was in town. The wind travelled over to me, blowing my long, brown wavy hair around. As I arrived, but felt like many heads turned to me and it kinda made me feel uncomfortable. I curiously walked up the road until I saw Storybrooke Library, a neatly presented building with a clock on the outside of the top floor; it was a bit like a tower.
I came across a pokey little place called Granny's Diner which seemed relevant so I went inside. The waitress was a young lady with red highlights in her hair.
"Ruby! Come and collect this order!" The girl turned to the counter and looked at a small, yet  stubborn sort of woman with curly grey hair and glasses. I couldn't help but to notice the enormous scar on that right arm which looked a if somehig had  scratched her. I glanced over at a blonde woman sitting with a boy in the corner. I looked back again and they looked at me. I went up to them and introduced myself. I quickly found out that she was the sherif so I decided to try and keep on her good side. She said her name's Emma and she was eating lunch with her son, Henry. I must have been staring because the woman asked me if I was okay.
"Yes, yes. Um, I don't really know where I am or why I'm here." I explained.
"Would you like to sit down?" the woman asked me.
"Okay!" I replied,  happy that I was sort of accepted.
I sat down after the boy shuffled along. I was told that the waitress is called Red Riding Hood (and the Wolf) and the old lady is called Granny.
"I'm Emma." she said. "And this is Henry." she said indicating towards the boy sitting across her. It was quiet so I decided to say something.
"Um, I got lost in the woods and came across a red line marking, I was foolish enough to try to cross so I did." I replied
"So you just walk across, just like that?" Asked Henry.
"Yeah, just like that!"
"What's your name?" Asked Emma.
"Alice. Alice Heart."
Henry and Emma exchanged glances.
"Nice to meet you, Alice." Emma said warmly.
Emma and Henry both finished their hot drinks. "We're going to Henry's mother's." Emma told me as she stood up to put on her red jacket.
"Mother's? aren't you-?" I said, puzzled
"Yeah, it's complicated." Henry said.
"You can come if you like. She doesn't like me very much." Emma said
"Okay. Sure." I said

I went with Emma and Henry to a big white house a couple of blocks away. Emma said it was Henry's adopted mother's house- she was the mayor. Emma knocked on the mayor's door. The door opened and a serious looking lady stood in the doorway. She was fairly talk and she had short black hair.
"Hello Henry! And Emma." she said. Her voice was quite regal.
"You need to meet someone. Can we come in?" Henry asked.
"Of, course." She hesitated.
I walked in and the woman stared at me.
"Regina." The serious woman said, holding out her hand as if she and I should shake hands."
"Alice." I replied, reaching out. We shook hands and then went into the kitchen.
There was a neat table before us, with lots of paperwork and a single bowl of apples.

I couldn't help but notice the black and white colour scheme, all except the blood red apples in a pale white bowlon the table.

Emma left quite briskly and said her goodbyes to Henry and a quick good but to Regina. "Come on Alice."
I walked out wih her after saying "goodbye and thankyou for having me."

We jumped into Emma's yellow bug car and went to a shop to see someone called Mr Gold who owned a shop called 'Mr Gold's Pawnbrokers'.
On the way, we were talking about the story of Emma and Regina and how they share custody of Henry.
Emma have birth to Henry and Regina, his great grandmother, coincidentally adopted him before John and Michael Darling could to allow him to forefill his destiny in being the 'One With the Heart Of the Truest Believer' so Peter Pan, who's acually evil, can live forever. It was quite a lot to take in.
We pulled up and Emma quickly explained that Mr Gold can be a bit tricky. She also asked me to wait and see if I could guess what fairytale character he was.
