Sorry for not uploading any of my stories in more than half a year. I'm going to be more frequent, though.
Chapter 4
Aaron and I barely made small talk on the way to my dorm. He just commented on stuff about the school that I think was supposed to be interesting but just slipped my mind. It was so damn awkward. We finally stopped at a door, numbering itself 109. I knocked on the door and soon a brunette opened up, revealing messy-hair and black tank top with some blue shorts. “If you’re moving in, then come in.” She yawned. She left the door open when she retreated inside.
I shrugged and shot a quizzical look to Aaron who returned it. I moved inside and said goodbye.
I opened my mouth to introduce myself when the girl flopped lazily down on her bed, face first, and waved her hand at me. “Don’t bother. When I wake up, we can do the introductions. Now…to sleep…”
I nodded slowly, even though she slipped off into la-la land. I set my luggage on the unused bed beside the snoring girl and unpacked it. My dorm room was almost completely the same to Kaleb’s. Minus the posters of hot cars. Instead, the room was coloured a dark shade of purple and my roommate just had a calendar and a few photos of what I assumed to be her family and pet spider. Oh shit, this girl owned a goddamn tarantula!
I shivered and folded my dainties into the bottom of my desk. There were two desks set up beside each other and a door on the adjacent wall probably led to a bathroom.
Looking at the alarm clock on my roommate’s desk, I saw that it was mid-afternoon. I figured I would have more time to unpack so I fished out my elective studies form.

Language: Greek, Spanish, Italian, French or JapaneseCrap, there was a whole bunch of electives! Well, I guess I should have expected that a boarding school would have a whole bunch of educational commitments to help produce excellent students and prepare them for their future career and to go onto college.
I circled Literature, Psychology, Food Technology, Legal Studies, History, Theatre Studies and French. I was most comfortable those subjects.
15 minutes later
I was out of my dorm, waking around outside, semi-circling the old buildings. There wasn’t just one, there were three buildings. When Aaron was taking Kaleb and I to be shown our rooms, we had somehow entered the back area of the college which opened up a walkway to the student housing area. There was another modernised building that I learned was for the greenhouse students, and had the entire science-related division holed up in there.
My school back in Los Angeles wasn’t even this expensive!
I strolled around on the grass and as I stood in the shade of a really big oak tree, water splashed onto me; dampening my white shirt and white shorts. Ugh, really?
The sprinklers had started up, spraying water in every direction. There were a few gasps and people getting annoyed as they had to get up or go sit somewhere else. Bothered, I decided to finish my circling and when I rounded a bloody big bush, I saw people dressed in bikinis, swimsuits and board-shorts.
My eyes followed a laughing group dressed in their swimwear as they made their way to the pool behind the back of an unfamiliar building. Oh, no way! They had a freaking gym and pool?! Crowds of students were gathered in and around the large, blue pool, just laughing, talking and playing games. I heard someone yell for some music to be turned on and immediately techno/pop music blared from a radio at the poolside. Holy cow, this was awesome! There were cute guys with no shirt on! Water dripped from their bodies and inside I felt like I had died and gone straight to heaven. Maybe being at the College would be alright. Maybe if I gave it a chance, I could come to actually like this school.
