Izumo sighed, collapsing on his the couch in his bar. It had been a long day and he was grateful to be able to finally sit down. He did however have a hard time relaxing with all the noise coming from HOMRAs members.

"Izumo!" Tatara said cheerfully dropping beside the man. "I've almost finished the spring cleaning! I just need you to sort through one last box."

Izumo moaned and looked down at the box. "Do I really have to?"

"Yup. Unless you want to take back your 'don't go snooping through my personal belongings' rule."

Izumo sighed and pulled the box onto his lap. Upon opening it, a shadow fell across Izumo's face. "Elayna..." he whispered almost to quite to hear.

Mikotos eyes snapped open at the sound of the name being said and suddenly stood up and looked around the room. "Get out." he said looking at the members causing silence to fall across the room.

"It's okay Mikoto." Izumo said his voice shaking slightly. "I'm okay..." he looked back at the box. The members, now curious aboy what was going on came closer.

"Izumo..." Yata asked breaking the silence "What's with the box?"

"Yata." Mikoto scolded the boy but Izumo just shook his head.

"It's okay Mikoto." he said slowly "This box... Has my most precious memories in it." at this point Izumo had the boys and little Anna's full attention as he slowly removed a black barrett with a purple bow on it.

"Can you tell us about her." Anna asked.

"Her name was Elayna." Izumo said closing his eyes with a small, sad smile crossing his lips. "She hatted hats with a passion. This barrett was the only exception. She called it her lucky head cushion."

"What did she look like?" The girl asked.

"She had brown hair and matching brown eyes. She was short, but liked wearing combat boots to try and make herself taller." he laughed with a tender smile.

"She would eat like a rabbit and would always fall asleep where she shouldn't. One time she actually fell asleep during choir and started snoring. It was very intertaning and her French was terrible."

"Was she French?" Yata asked.

"Half, she lived in Japan but had to move to France when her father's job moved him to Marseille."

"She sounds like she would fit right in." Tatara said

"Yeah... She would have loved it here." he said softly.

"Is she...um..." Tatara began

"Dead?" Izumo said rather bluntly. "She is... There was an explosion at her fathers work place, she had been visiting with her school at the time." Izumo sighed looking out the window. "She woke up late and forgot to wear her barrett that day... It's all she left." At this Izumo closed his eyes, holding the barrett to his mouth.

"You loved her." Anna stated causing the others to shift uncomfortably.

"Yes... I did." Izumo whispered, his voice cracking.

"She loved you too."

Izumo's eye's opened wide in surprise.

"The letters." Anna said looking in the box. "You have so many... And each one has her love in it."

"Anna..."

"It's such a beautiful red..."

Izumo frowned. "What do you mean Anna? What red? She always used black pens."

"The're red. So is the words." Anna said pointing at the barrett. Izumo looked and saw what Elayna had stitched into it. The were a faded purple.

"That's enough Anna." Izumo said

"But..."

"It's not. She's not... she's gone Anna." he said snapping at the child putting the barrett back in the box and packing it away.

"Izumo..." Tatara said

"Elayna is gone. She's nothing but a memory, and memories aren't red just grey." with that he walked up the stairs. Walking into his room Izumo placed the box under his bed.

Izumo, look! A rainbow!

'She's gone...'

Izumo! Can you help me make this poster?

'...Just a memory...'

It's not fair Izumo! Why do we have to move to France?

'...You're not real...'

You said you would always be on my side! You promised!

'...Please...'

Izumo... I'm sorry but I have to leave now. Please don't cry...

'Elayna...' Izumo cried, pulling his knees to his chest 'why...'

A girl stepped from the plane and walked through the airports gates, the buckles on her boots clicking with each step. She didn't stop to collect any bags and simply walked until she had excited the building. The wind caught her brown hair making it dance while she signalled a taxi.

"Where to miss." the driver asked as she climbed in.

"There's a bar by the name HOMRA. Take me there." she said, her brown eyes turning to look out of the window.

"HOMRA? A lot of trouble makes hang out there. Sure you want to go?"

"Yes. It's... Something I have wanted to see for a long time."

The driver nodded and drove.

'Soon' the girl thought. 'I'll just have a little look, that's all. Yeah, just a look and then I'll leave..."
