The orphan

NOW

                    3 YEARS LATER
I am now 16 years old, stuck in a orphanage. "FOOD" I say as they call us teens for lunch. I'm not all alone. I have 2 friends, they're twins Micheal and Michena. When they were baby's they were found on a sidewalk but dumpsters by a fallen down building. "HEY MINA OVER HERE!" Michena waving at me across the room. One of the nurses gave her a dirty look. "Soooo what are we gonna do to get us in trouble today?" I ask heading to the table. "Sorry Mina. We're meeting our new "family" today. And see if it's a go."
"What! So you're saying that you're gonna leave me here!"
  Through the night I thought of ways to escape this dreadful place. "psst, Mina" a silent whisper came from down the hall. "Who said that?"
"Come to the door, we need to talk" the whisper answered. "Who are you?"
"Shhhhhhh. Quite down you'll wake them."
"It's us. " another whisper came. " Michael and Michena."
"OMG NO WAY!" I shouted in a whisper voice. " SHHHHHH. Are you stupid?"
"No but I figured a way out." Suddenly we heard footsteps with a deep voice along with them. "Hey kids you're not sopose to be out!" He shouted. The guards around here are very strict, they always have a stick with them. "RUN GUYS RUN!" I yelled. But I was too late. The guard caught them before with more guards to follow. Beating them with those black sticks. Hearing the screams echo through the hall. " STOP! STOP YOU'RE HURTING THEM!" I yell at the guards. I could hear the blood splats hit the concrete ground below them. Then suddenly the beating stopped and the screams stopped too. "Michael, get up. Michena you too. You're okay. They're gone get up!" I keep yelling at them to get up but they look lifeless. They have no movement, not even a breath. Tears stung my eyes and streamed down my face in horror.
     I heard some footsteps down the hall. I quickly grabbed the Bobbie pin that was in my hair and tried to unlock the door. And so it did it worked. I opened the door and faced a man. " YOU ASSHOLE, YOU.........YOU KILLED THEM! MY ONLY FRIENDS, AND THEY'RE  GONE!"
"Get back in you room." He said stern. "There is nothing to see"
"NOTHING TO SEE?!" I yelled loudly at him. As I quickly grabbed the chair next to me he swong his black stick, hitting the chair causing it to break. Running down the hallway with the man following, I thought this isn't the end. Seeing a metal chair I grabbed it and through it at him, missing it hit a window in front of me, glass shattered. I grabbed a piece of glass as a weapon, and jumped through the window. The man stood there in the shadows. " COME GET ME!" I yelled "COME ONE WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?" But he didn't come after me. He just stood there. I threw the piece of glass at him, and ran. But when I looked back I was horrorfied. The glass hit him. In the gut. Had I just killed a man. I was terrified at what I've done. But I ran, and ran. Jumping off the roof into bushes. 
     Running into a fence. What can I do? The fence has barbwire at the top and it's usually electrified along the whole thing. I didn't know if it was on. So I touched it. It's off I quickly climbed and climbed reaching the top. My legs and arms tore from the barbwire, my clothing wripped. Blood flowed on my skin the warmth of it.
      I turned around and looked at the orphanage and saw a sign that said " Midridge Orphanage" in dark black bolded letters. The building with cracks and vines everywhere.

*flash back*
"Momma where did you come from?" I asked before I went to sleep. "A dreadful place."
     "What place?"
      "An orphanage"
      "You were an orphan?"
       "Yes." My mother sighed and look glumed. "The worst place ever. Midridge orphanage." She sighed again looking down avoiding eye contact. "But you will never go there. I will never leave you." She said and kissed my forehead.

*End of flashback*

    Gasping at what my mother had told me as it echoed in my head haunting my brain. "You left me. And now look"
