"Okay. Wait.. JB who!?"

I chuckle a little and explain to him that JB is a nickname and he's going to go by that now. Jaebum sounds... Idk weird.

"Anyway, you need to get close with Sowon before you make any moves. Got it Mr. Wink." I say while pointing a finger at him.

I snap my fingers and instantly he's changed into his night clothes and so am I. I then instruct him to go to sleep and he follows still with his hands up in surrender. Shutting off the light, I crawl into bed and fall asleep.

Day 2/30

Beep beep beep goes my stupid alarm clock. I groan and punch the stupid thing before sitting up. I grab my head in pain.

"Sat up too fast, aish."

I look over at Jaebum I mean. JB's bed and furrow my brows when he isn't there. Slipping on my house slippers, I make my way to the bathroom, deciding that he probably isn't in any trouble.

That is until I here a crash downstairs. I snap my fingers into a clothes change and sprint downstairs. I gasp when I see a creature attack Jaebum.

Mom get down here.

I message her before staring at the ugly thing. It wasn't that big, the same height as Jaebum. The skin was all black like ash and was adorned by bits of crusty lava, or at least that's how I imagine it. I grab the nearest object (which happens to be a tube of lipgloss) and chuck it at the thing.

Just then, mother appears next to me with a twinkling silver dagger. She throws it like a pro and it strikes the creature in the heart. The thing lets out a loud screech before bursting into a sea of red dust.

Jaebum sighs in relief before falling into the ground, clutching hand. I run up to him and check his hand.

"Yah I'm Jaebum! Gwenchana?!"

I grab his hand and inspect it. There's a deep cut that's gushing with (the red water) blood.

"Mom. Mom what do I do?" I panic.

"Honey focus, you can heal him."

I take a deep breath and focus hard. I hover my right hand over his injury and think hard. Focusing on only healing him.

Please be okay. Heal him.

I feel the energy flow through my veins and travel to him. I open my eyes and his hand is healed. I jump for joy and pull Jaebum into a bone crushing hug.
(Lay the freaking healing unicorn over here).

"Thank you eunwoo-ah."

He smiles and hugs me back. I look over at my mom and give her a thumbs up. She has already cleaned up the mess that the thing made. Since she has revealed the secret, she uses her powers more frequently in the house and may I say, it makes living a whole lot easier.

Me and Jaebum get off the ground and face mom.

"This is not going to be your last encounter with a monster honey, they can attack from anywhere at anytime. Only you and Jaebum and other non human entities can see them. So in public, it would basically look like you killing a person. Buuuut, you can simply charm their brains so that wouldn't be a problem. Anyway, take this."
