~(Y/N) POV~

"Where am I...?" I asked into the silence.

"Welcome to the underground!" I heard something say. I looked around at my feet in the flowers I had fallen into and saw one staring straight at me.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower." Flowey said.

"Hi...I'm (Y/N). Nice to meet you." I said, trying not to scream out of fear. There was a flower talking to me. I was alone. I had no means of escape. What else was I supposed to do? Sit here with Flowey and wait to die or go insane?

"You're new to the underground, aren'tcha? Well, somebody's gonna have to teach you how things work around here. And I guess lil' ol' me will have to do. Ready?" Flowey said. A red heart suddenly appeared in front of me, along with four boxes. Fight. Act. Item. Mercy.

"You see that heart? That is your soul, the very culmination of your being!" Flowey cheered. He smiled  at me. Maybe this place wasn't that bad.

"Down here, love is shared through....little white...friendliness pellets." He said. It didn't make any logical sense, but neither did a talking flower. So it made Flowey seem just as normal as the sun on a summer day.

"You want some love, don'tcha? Don't worry. I'll share some with you!" Flowey stuck out his tongue and winked at me as five small, white things, which I assumed were 'friendliness pellets' appeared behind him. I was extremely curious and intruiged by what was going on. A talking flower. I fell at least a hundred feet, unscathed. Everything was very mysterious. Enchanting. It filled me with.....

Determination.

"Move around. Get as many pellets as you can!" Flowey smiled. The friendliness pellets headed straight towards my "soul" and when they touched the heart, I noticed my health.

I looked back at Flowey's face. It was evil. It looked something that belonged in hell.

"You idiot. How could you not take an opportunity like this? In this world, it's kill or BE KILLED!"

Flowey started to go in for the kill, until a blast of an unknown nature hit Flowey, sending him flying. The source of the blast ran out of the shadows and came into view.It was another monster, but this time, it was a very tall woman. A goat looking monster with red eyes, and a purple dress.

"Ah, do not be afraid, dear child. I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins." Her voice was gentle. It was sincere. It was kind. Words written in her red eyes in beautiful handwriting. They told me to trust her. That she would take care of me. I could feel something in my soul. It was strong, yet merciful. Strict but caring.

Determination.

That is why I went on a two-month long hiatus because I couldn't find time to write with my grandma's computer. I still love you guys!!!
