   As soon as I had gotten home from school the first thing on my mind was the party. I rushed up the stairs to my bedroom to choose an outfit for tonight.

I heard the front door open and I knew it was Kelsey. While I was driving I had called Kelsey and told her to come to my house to get ready.

"Kels I'm up here!" Yelling to Kelsey who was downstairs. Letting her know where I was,

Two minutes later the door to my room opened up revealing my best friend. While she had taken her precious time walking up the stairs I had already choose an outfit.

"Did you hear what happened to Lydia?!"
She yelled as she laid on my bed.

"Don't you even dare say her name in my house again. But no I didn't hear. So what happened?" I told her as I was trying to look for the makeup I would be wearing tonight.

"Well apparently Lydia had been walking around the woods naked for two days last week. That's why everyone was staring at her. And also Jackson broke up with her today!" Kelsey told me as she was dying of laughter on my bed.

"I guess Lydia might finally realize she isn't as popular as she thought." I replied back not really focusing that much on what she said after that.

It had been a few hours since Kelsey arrived to my house. It was currently 8:27 pm Isaac was supposed to pick me up at 9:00 so I only had around thirty minutes to finish getting ready.

I put on my dress that I had picked out earlier. It was a light mocha color with a floral pattern all over. I had just bought the dress last week so I decided to wear it.

"Kels does this dress look good on me?" I asked her coming out of the bathroom to show her.

"Yes! Whoever your going with to this party is definitely going to be drooling all over you." She told me still sitting on my bed.

"Actually who are you going with? You never told me." Kelsey asked me raising her eyebrow in curiosity.

"I thought I did but anyways I'm going with Isaac Lahey." I responded smiling

  "WHAT?! You can't go out with him!" She told me as she started freaking out and rambling on  about how I shouldn't go with him to the party,

Before I could say anything back to her we both heard the doorbell ring. We both looked at each other knowing exactly who was at the door.

  Kelsey and I both got up from the places we were sitting down at and started sprinting towards the door.

As I was running down the stairs Kelsey knocked me into the wall making me come crashing down the stairs. Once I got up again I started running towards the door not knowing what Kelsey would say to Isaac so i wouldn't go to the party with him.

I turned the corner seeing Kelsey at the door about to open it I started sprinting towards her and pushed her to the side so I was able to open the door before her. I opened the door and sure enough Isaac was standing right in front of me.

"Hey you look great" he told me whilst giving me a smile that made me slightly blush.

"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself" I told him eyeing his outfit.

As i was about to close the door and head out Kelsey grabbed my arm and pulled me back into my house closing the door in Isaacs face.

"You can't go out with him!" Kels said whispering and slightly shouting at me. I pulled my arm away from her grip.

I walked out the door about too close it but before I did I told Kelsey that I was going to the party whether she liked it or not.

Slamming the door shut I walked out of my house and saw Isaac looking at me like he had just heard our whole argument, but there is no way he could've heard us in there it's not like he had super hearing or something.

This chapter really sucks but i wanted to update this book since i haven't in so long. Btw the next chapter should be out in a couple of days! :) ~ Hazel
