Silence
What a terrible thing to experience
For with no noise to hold your attention
You begin to think with no restraints
And with continued silence, your thoughts accelerate
You being to think things you kept deep in the heart of your mind
In order to fight against the constant silence
And for that battle to end one must break
Whether it be the silence on the outside
Or the mind on the inside
Because a broken mind can't be silenceUnless you decide that the noise
That now lives inside your broken shell of a conscious
Is too much and the constant
Stream of tortuous thoughts
Is killing you inside
Then you beg for the silence to return but it doesn't.
So you forced it to return.
By silencing your mind
By silencing your lifeHowever, by the time silence is at
The verge of returning
You begin to want noise again
You've changed your mind
You remember how destructive silence is
And you wish to banish it once more
To return to the noises that kept you alive
But it's too late
You're too far gone, in too deep
There is no more noise
All that's left is eternal silenceSilence
What a terrible thing to experience
