I walked back into the party with Brent following behind. We walked into the kitchen so we could hear each other over the blaring music.

"I'm going to find Abby." I informed him.

He nodded. "I'll wait for you here."

I nodded back before heading off into the sea of dancing bodies. It was going to take forever to find her! And even if I did find her, there was no garuntee that she wasn't even 'a little' drunk. As I scanned the house for Abby, I did get a glimpase of Zach. I was about to go get him when I realized he was locking lips with the girl he had a major crush on. I decided to leave him and  sink farther into the party in search of my strawberry-blonde haired friend.

I scooted in between people, around furniture, and over trash that littered the floor. I finally made my way into the living room, finding Abby dancing her drunken heart out with some friends and a very cute boy, one whom I did not know the name. I rolled my eyes with a smile on my face on how my best friend acted sometimes.

In the end, I decided to leave her with them and try to make my way back into the kitchen. I shuffled to the other side of the living room, entering a very 'homey' sitting room. I looked around at the quiet room and all the people that sat around talking. I noticed a group by the far couch in the corner. The first thing that registered in my mind was Wyatt Jones was the center of attention. And when I asked myself 'why' I got the answer: He was making everyone life with his DRUNKEN actions.

I couldn't believe that he went and got drunk. What an idiot he was...

"Hey, Elle." I looked up to see one of the boys from Wyatt's group calling to me. "Your guy sure is the life of the party."

Wyatt looked to me at the sound of my name, sadness and regret instantly clouding his eys. He looked so sad... But I wouldn't let him have me so easily. I had pride, ya know.

"He's not my guy anymore." I replied.

"Ouch." The boy replied as the others chuckled.

I walked away right then, feeling like a total ass. But it wasn't fair! Wyatt cheats and I feel like I did something wrong! Shouldn't it be the other way around??!!

I squeezed my way back into the kitchen to find Brent right where I left him. I shuffled up to him, leaning against the counter with a frown.

"Couldn't find her?" He asked.

"Worse she's drunk." I groaned. "And I had a run-in with Wyatt." I mumbled the last part.

"You seem a bit stressed." Breant pointed out as he leaned agaisnt the counter with me.

"That's the understatement of the year." I sighed. "I just wanna go home. I'm in no party mood after what happened."

"You just need a little drink." Brent said, handing me his beer bottle.

"I don't drink." I replied.

"Just a sip. Gotta start somewhere." Brent pushed.

I cocked an eyebrow at him. "I dunno... Never done this before."

Brent chuckled. "You act like you stealing a car. No worries, I'll make sure you don't go over board." He smiled.

I went to grab his beer and hesitated before bringing it to my lips, Brent's hand still on the bottle.

"Chicken?" Brent joked with an amused gleam in his eyes.

"No way." I answered before bringing the bottle to my lips and chugging it.
