"C'mere darling." Eleanor said once she'd got to the floor the girls were watching a film on, stopping the crying child with her words. Em turned to her, shaking like a leaf as she walked to the sofa and sat down beside Louis' girlfriend."He doesn't mean it." Eleanor said as she turned into the brunette's shoulder and began to cry properly, "He just gets very angry."
"I didn't mean to." Emilia whispered. "We know." Sophia said empathetically, sitting the other side to Em while rubbing her arm, "He means well but he's so stressed at the moment."
"Why?" she whispered, knee shaking out of nerves. "He's never been a Dad before love." Eleanor murmured, "It's hard for him to switch off the differences between being a working man and being a father. He loves you a lot but he's as new to this as you are."
"I miss my Mamma." She whimpered, curling herself up as Sophia came to sit closer to Eleanor the film forgotten. The two girls had to stop themselves from awing though at Em's request for her mum. "Don't cry baby girl." Eleanor rolled her out of the curled up ball, brushing away her tears, "Go upstairs though love, he'll come up here soon and you're best to do what he says."
"Okay," the little girl replied pushing herself off of the sofa and rubbing her fist over her eyes. "And try not to take any notice." Sophia encouraged, reaching over to brush away any of her fallen tears, "Louis doesn't hold grudges. After he shouts, he doesn't shout about the same thing again."
She nodded again, walking away from the two understanding girls and up both flights of stairs to her own bedroom, falling down on her bed.
She wouldn't cry.
She refused to cry, however she had disappointed her Father so therefore, she cried her little heart out.

"For god's sake." Louis sighed, reading the fifth threat from William's gang about what they'd do to his little girl. He ran his hands through his hair, not answering the mail, "I think we need to go in boys."
"Yeah?" Liam looked up, smoothing his hair down with his hand. "That's the fifth this evening and I'm not allowing threats like that on my seven year old."
"What do they say?" Liam asked. "Horrible things. Absolutely awful." Louis brushed through his hair before turning to his second in command, "Harry, start tracking. What day is it today?"
"Saturday." Niall answered.
"Right." Louis thought, "Okay, Harry start tracking and we'll ambush on Monday."
"Okay." Harry answered, beginning to send emails and texts.
"Who's closest to finishing today's work?"
"Me." Liam pointed at his pile of two A4 sheets. "Get onto schools for Em. I don't want a boarding school or a comprehensive one. Find a private school, money isn't an object but it needs tight security. It's the summer holidays right but she isn't ready to start for a few weeks anyway. Make reference to her first language and say who she is to me. They'll know."
Liam nodded, having written down the notes in his book – knowing not to ask him to repeat anything when he had a lot to do.
"And Harry, go and check on her. Take a glass of water for her and tell her I'm not angry with her, I'm stressed out and I want her down here cuddling with me." The curly-haired man nodded, walking through to the kitchen to get the water before walking all the way to the top of the three staircases to get to Emilia's room, finding her fast asleep in her single bed, her left thumb grazing the side of her mouth, a habit the four men had noticed she did when she was tired, upset or stressed. He smirked slightly, sitting down beside her while brushing away her loose curls, "Em." She stirred, clearly not in a very deep sleep but asleep none the less, jumping awake when Harry placed his hand on her now healed shoulder to get her to rouse.
