I woke with a start. Then the event of the pervious day came flooding back. I almost broke down again just thinking about it, until I heard a twig snap from behind me. I whirled my head around to see a girl with long, curly, honey blonde hair staring at me with her emerald green eyes. Once she noticed I had seen her she bolted in the direction she had come. I stood up and brushed myself off before heading to the river bed. As I looked down at the reflective surface I could see a rippling image of myself. My black hair had twigs stuck in it and I could see dark circles under my eyes. No wonder she ran away from me....I look like a badger! Luckily, I had a hairbrush in my bag. Don't ask me how it got there, I'm just grateful that it did. There is nothing someone pity's more than a girl who looks like she'd been living with wolves.
I swung my bag over my shoulder and continued walking away from what I'd once known, only to find that I didn't know which way was "away". Panicked, I headed upstream. I had gone so far up I was nearing the edge of the Forrest. A movement caught my eye, I turned towards it cautiously only to find out it was a piece of paper tacked to a tree. As I stepped closer, I could make out a photo and some writing. I pulled the paper off of the tree and studied it. It read; if found please return her to owners, REWARD 1,000$. Below was a photo of a girl with long, straight, raven black hair and smiling blue eyes. It was a photo of me, they were looking for me.
