Open Your Eyes

"Anything interesting happen today, Anna," her mom asked expectantly, already knowing what had happened.

"I got in a fight today," Anna said looking at the ground to avoid her mother's angry and shocked expression.

"I want to hear your side of the story," her mother said plainly. Anna told the story for the second time that day. She was grounded. The next five days sucked for Anna, she had always been a good child so when the news spread quickly around the school everyone was surprised. Lacey and Anna had sort of befriended each other through those five days in I. S. S.. They laughed and complimented each others fighting skill, but nothing was truthful they just had no one else to talk to or anything else to talk about.

Finally, when they were both free and back in the halls they received looks and whispers from everyone. As Anna was preparing for math the first day out of I.S.S. the girl, Michelle, that was supposed to fight her a week ago to the day pushed her from behind. Anna turned to face her but did nothing but block the scratches coming from Michelle, because she didn't want to get expelled.
Since there was no proof of Anna not hitting Michelle they were both sentenced to two days in I.S.S. but they had to serve sperately.

"That's not okay! My child did nothing but defend herself," Anna's angry mother raised her voice at the principal.
"I'm sorry ma'am it's just precaution," said Mrs. Wallace trying to stay calm.
"Fine, Anna will serve her two days, but after this week don't expect her back in this school."

"Mrs. Harper-," Mrs. Wallace began to speak but was cut off my Anna's mom slamming the door.

"You know where the I.S.S. room is Anna, take your stuff and get there," Mrs. Wallace said harshly. With that Anna headed back to the room she had spent all of last week in.
The I. S. S. instructor, Mr. Fair, was not happy to see her.
"I thought I told you I didn't wanna see you back here again," he said to her.

"Well, then people should stop hitting me," Anna stated plainly.
