The Blind Dates That Turned

chapter 6

I walk down the hall to first period class hearing whisper mainly from girls.Talking about how i "took" Xavier from Sophia which i just found out her name.

I finally reach my first period class which was art i walk in heading to the back trying not to draw attention to my self i open my bag and see my sketchbook was wet i frown i open and look at my drawing all were wet some of the colors were smeared or mixing with each other i tear them out and go up and throw them away only to see Xavier and...Sophia walk in.

I make eye contact with Xavier and look back down trowing my drawings walking back to my seat all my drawing were gone..well i guess i could just start over.

"Ok class as you know we picked two lovely people to compete in the drawing contest"Mrs.Jackie said as she walked over to her desk picking up papers she smiles like the shes Effie Trinket about to reap one unlucky boy and one unlucky girl."The two people who are completing are Luna Adams and Xavier Davidson"the class claps i look up seeing Xavier starring at me i give him a small smile only for him to give me one of his famous trademark smirk.I was shocked wasn't he mad at me...does he have mood swings.

Most of the time Mrs.Jackie was preparing us for the contest saying it lasts for about 4 to 6 weeks with different themes some challenges might involve other things but she didn't really get into detail.From the corner of my eyes i could see Sophia giving me glares in all honesty she was a good sketcher when it came to drawing fashion illustrates but she had one of the rudest attitude at this school.

When class ended i packed up my things not really caring about my sketchbook or even the contest i just wanted to go home that all,no more no less.I look at my phone seeing how i had three unread messages,one from Vicky,mom and..unknown.I clear out my notification and head out of class.

Never knowing that someone picked up her sketches from the trash.

It was lunch time already and i decide to sit by myself.Vicky and Jackson come over anyways and sits across from me."hey...so how has your day been going"Vicky asks with a smile.I say nothing and just pick at my sub with my fork poking making a row of four dots every time.Vicky puts her on top of mines stopping me from poking the living day lights out of the sub "listen Luna,your amazing person and...who knows...maybe the next one will be better then the last one.."i look up at her"Vicky...i ..i don't think there will be a next time i mean maybe next month or...even never".

she smiles"c'mon girl lightin up"i smile just a little"fine"she reaches over the table and hugs me i wrap my arms around her,hugging her back.I'm luck to have such an awesome best friend like her.
