Superhumans

THIS IS MY STORY

What would happen to our world if one morning the sun did not rise? Plants would struggle to grow. Our world leaders would gather to decide the best course of action. Scientists would search for a rational solution. Some would claim that the end of the world is upon us. Others still would continue with their daily lives pretending that nothing had changed. Most people fear change. We go throughout our daily lives doing the same exact things every day. When something disrupts this and we were not prepared for it we don't know what to do and that is the root of our fear. When we don't know what to do with something, we are afraid of it. We are also afraid of what it is that we will have to give up in order to move forward. Sometimes life forces change upon us even if we are not ready and when that happens it is difficult to move forward, but moving forward is what makes us stronger.

My name is Sarah and this is my story.

Fathers always have high expectations of their sons and want them to be as good as, if not better than, themselves. My father is no exception. Although I am not his biological son he has always had the highest of expectations for me. My father is Mickey Quinn head of Quinn Tech. He is also the leader of what the world now calls Super Humans. One day I am to run both of these empires as the fearless leader my father was. I am not the fearless leader father expects me to be and I don't know how to become what my father wants.

I don't have much experience with the concept of friendship but in my opinion friends are a lot like siblings. My brother and sister and I fight all the time, but that does not change the fact that we will always be there for each other. I have not known my friends for as long as my siblings, but the friends I know would not have done the things that have been attributed to them. Just because we are pawns in the war of our parents does that mean we should hate each other?

People think that there are distinctive separations between many of these things but in reality the world is not split into liars and trustworthy people. The people you trust can be lying to you and the ones you were told were liars and traitors may be the most trustworthy. We always believe we are on the side of the heroes until someone else shows us that we were on the wrong path.
