The pop returned to my ears. And in a split second we were on a beach, the same beach. I took a deep breath through my nose. I smelled the salty air and grass, In the distance an old castle hid the sun from view.

"Hello." The velvet accent from the dream startled me. I turned around and saw him. He was tall, well taller than my 5'8", had deep red hair almost burgandy,  and from three feet away I could see his bright emerald green eyes, the light from the sun dancing on them and creating mystery. His chin was covered in dark red stubble. He was elegantly beautiful.
"Well hot damn."  Another pop.
"You had better watch your mouth young lady!" my mother scolded from behind.  I stared at his eyes awhile. Perplexed.  How could something so small, look like it could hold the universe? Pay attention and stop gazing into his eyes. You'll embarras yourself.
"My name is-"
"Gael. I know. I've been watching you got some time now. "
"Wow, creeper much?"
" I am King to the magickal beings, Prince of the Northern Isles, and a whole spiel of other titles, but creeper? Most definitely not. "
"I still don't have a name Your Majesty. " I twirled my hand in the air then crossed my arms all while Looking up at him expectantly.
"My full name with titles? or with out"
"Short version I'm sensing some urgency."
"My name is Liam Ailill Bréanainn Alphonsus of the house Callery."
"That's the short version? "
"Yes. Walk with me." We started toward the castle.
"I have summoned you here for a mission of sorts.  See, the magickal world has been in dismay. The giants are shrinking, the fae are losing control of the seasons, the siren sings are less potent, dwarves are going into hiding, elves are fighting wars, werewolves aren't changing on the right moons, and don't even get me started on the vampires, they're just pitiful." a small hint of a smile flickered across his face. we are the last of the old generation of magic. the new one has to be born. and with that I have a quest for you."
"Excuse me?!" I looked at him sideways. what was he suggesting?
"You're excused."
"What are you implying? "
"Marriage, of course. What else? "
