Chapter 2: I'm to old for you

I wake up in complete darkness with a red light in the corner. Well I know I'm not in the hospital.

I see a letter in on the table next to me and pick it up. The date says 2 years from when our village was attacked. You know what? I'm done with the human some words. When our empire was attacked.

My head hurts to much to want to be nosey and read the letter. I put it back on the table. The my thoughts go right to Mia. I panic and shoot straight out of the comfy thing I was sleeping on. I look around. No Mia. I step out of the cot and run to the door while stumbling. I reach out for the door knob and put my weight on it. For a year or so, I'm really out of shape.

I quickly open the door and rush out. But when I open it I hit someone.

"Mia?" I say out of hope and look around the door.

"Whose Mia?" Some unMia guy says.

"Well not you" I snap back

"And oww", the guy says, "that really hurt" he sated with a thick old English (leaning more a  British sounding one).

"Well I don't care" I say

"For a 7 year old girl, you are both persnickety and pack a punch"

"I'm not-" I stop myself. I don't want to give myself away in fear of him being the same as the ones who took our home.

"Your not what? Human? Yeah I got that" he says standing up.

I look at him with wide eyes

"H-how?" I stutter and start to slowly back up.

"Well one, you haven't grown in the slightest since we found you. And two, we already know what you are." He says.

Now I'm a little curious. "How?"

He chuckles "we made peace with your kind a long time ago"

"Oh" I didn't know what to say "sorry for hitting you with a door"

"That's fine I'm a werewolf. I heal quickly."

Then he adds "also that's how I know your not human, you smell differently"

"Cool, I've never met a werewolf" I say

"Well in that case," he holds his hand out for me to shake, "my name is Jason Tomas Finagan. Ex-Beta because our pack was attacked and I barely escaped."

"I'm Rhea, we don't have middle name or last names in our empire. Twin to Mia and part of the Eastern empire or what's left of it."

"Well, Rhea, I'll show you around."

He leads me down the dark hallway only eliminated by a red light. By the look of the walls, we are underground.

He points out certain places and rooms like he's done this before. There the trophy room, training room, lounge, weapon room, cafeteria, the door to the field, and that I was in the infirmary.

"Oh I'm an idiot!" He exclaims "you have no idea where we are. So without further ado, I would like to informally welcome you to the Eastern League of Assassins and Hackers or ELAH for short."

I just nod but this all makes a lot more sense now.

While he keeps blabbing on about stuff that I don't care about, I take this time to look him over. He's about 5'8 and has dark brown hair with bright blue eyes that always have a shinny glint in them. I don't care what he looks like, I'm to old for him anyway.

He pauses for breath because of his con ruinous fast talking. I take this time to ask him a question I've been dying to ask since I got here.

"Was my twin there when you found me?"

"Umm I'm not the one who found you. You should ask Lacey, another werewolf." He responds.

"Can you show me where she is?"
I ask

"Yeah, she should be in the training lounge which is right next door from where I have to be."

He motions for me to follow as he turns around to walk in the other direction. We pass eight doors that were made of a dark wood and carved so that it looked thousands of years old until we come to that one Jason stops in front of. I almost run in to him because of him stoping so suddenly.

He opens the door for me and points to a door directly actions form it.

"I'll be in there so come get me when your done" he says before walking off.

As I step into the room with a lot of guys punching bags, I see a girl and a guy larger then her sparing in a arena in the middle.

I watch as they kick, punch, and duck, but in the end the girl wins with a roundhouse kick. I guess she's Lacey considering she's the only girl in the room.
