Finding her way to the next class deemed itself to be a challenge. No matter how hard Claire tried, she couldn't figure out the different classroms, or why the halls seemed to stretch forever. It was crazy to say the least. She tried to push her way through the crowd of students in front of her, only to end up pushed up against the locker.
Well that was a bit harsh.
"Watch it new girl. Try not to be such a klutz next time."
Claire opened her eyes to be met with blue ones. The boy in front of her was tall, though a few inches shorter than Erick. He had a built frame, his muscled arm hovering over her in an intimidating manner.
This cannot be hapening.
But it was, and Claire had never found herself a situation like this. Being a victim wasn't on her to-do list and this boy in front of her was definitely ruining her day. The boy glared, his body giving off an almost menacing atmosphere.
Maybe she had made a mikstake with talking back to him.
But, she didn't regret it.
The students around her seemed to have disapeared. The only people in the halls was her and the boy. By now she had expected someone, anyone to come rushing through the doors to save her. Sadly, nobody came and her whole outlook came crashing.
"Arn't you a stubborn one? I don't think you'd wanna get on my bad side, babe."
She ignored the fact that she called him babe, only glaring at him in dismay.
His arm fell from above her to caress her cheek.
Claire gasped. His hand was cold, causing a shiver to run through her face at his touch.
"I'm gonna make sure you learn your lesson."
With a grin, he lowerred his face to hers, his eyes staring into her brown ones. Though the chance was slim, Claire saw a slight black tint overcome his blue ones. They seemed to darken, trapping Claire on the spot.A tingling sensation ran through her body to her fingertips. The sensation seemed to last for minutes until it dispersed.
The boy blinked, loosening his grip on her cheek to stare inquisically at her.
"Why aren't you-"
His words were cut off at the sound of footsteps down the hall. Claire turned, staring
at Erick as he made his way over to them. She sighed, not knowing she had held her breath the whole time."Claire are you alright?' Erick's deep voice brought Claire out of her thoughts as she nodded. Erick nodded, a smile coming to his lips as he outstretched his hand towards her.
In a quick dash Calire lurched towards Erick, standing beside him. His presence comforted her and gave her a sense of relief.
The boy in front of them frowned, the smirk on his lips fading as his eyes continued to stare at Claire.
"Here to save the freshie, huh Erick?" The boy grimaced, his tone menacing as he glared at Erick.
"She's not your problem Chance. She's my responsibility not yours." Erick's body came in front of me, his arms crossing over his chest.
To say this was wierd would be an understatment. The whole conversation seemed to have nothing to do with Claire. It felt deeper and she was sure that before she moved in they had tension between them.
Chance smirked, his gaze turning back to stare at Claire.
"This isn't over yet, babe." His eyes gleamed as a frown replaced his upturned lips. Without another word he left, leaving Claire to watch his retreating form as the ending class bell rang and her mind only rambled in dismay at the fact she missed her first class of the day.
