Spencer winced for a second, as the light that streamed through the curtains first met her eyes. Her eyesight returning back to normal, and taking a deep breath, the feeling of the hand that rested gently against her stomach brought her into her temporarily perfect reality. She smiled softly, and turned quietly in the arms that held her small body. Toby. He was still asleep, breathing rather heavily. Peacefully.
Spencer liked seeing him sleeping, he looked so serene, so calm. Something that came rarely for both of them. Craning her head up slightly, she glanced at the alarm clock behind him. 10:03am. Sighing, she reached her hand up to her sleeping boyfriend's cheek, stroking it lightly.
"Tobes," she whispered, "Wake up."
When all he responded with was a quiet groan, Spencer giggled faintly and gave his shoulder a squeeze.
"Come on, babe. It's ten o'clock."
Suddenly, she was being pulled tighter into Toby's hold, his strong arms encircling her, and she couldn't help but rest her head on his chest. Grinning, she closed her eyes in pure content.
"Mmm," she murmured, "How is it that you know every, single one of my weaknesses?"
"Well, it's safe to say I know you pretty well now" he replied, his voice scratchy with sleep.
They lay there for a couple of minutes. A couple of minutes, yeah, seemed like years gone by. It wasn't until Spencer managed to untangle herself from his strong clutch, that Toby actually opened his eyes. They both twisted around so they were facing each other, and Spencer finally saw the demanding blue gems that were his eyes. They were lethal, they were. Every time she looked at them, it was like she was being sucked into a ocean of need, a vortex.
Toby sighed, as his hand caressed Spencer's long, chestnut locks.
"Remind me, my Juliet, why are you waking me up at this ungodly hour?"
"That ungodly hour is five past ten, Romeo, if you didn't hear me say not 2 minutes ago."
Toby chuckled, "Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember we didn't get too much sleep last night, did we....?"
Spencer rolled her eyes, not being able to resist a smirk, "Anyway, It's Sunday, and I just wanted to make the most of of today. I mean, you're leaving tomorrow and I'm not going to see you for a while..."
"Hey," he said tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, "It's just for two nights, I'll be back in no time."
Spencer exhaled, then nodded. "I know, I know it's just that you just got back. I've missed you enough the last week-"
"Oh, Spence, I'm sorry...
"No! No it's okay, I didn't mean it like that," she said quickly, rubbing up and down his arms, "I'm just gonna miss you, and I want to have a nice day."
Toby pressed a kiss to her forehead, and Spencer closed her eyes in comfort. "I'm going to miss you too," he said, "But... I'd be happy to spend the morning like this."
"What do you mean?"
"You know, just you and me, here," he gestured to the bed, "movie marathons and breakfast, coffee and cuddles."
Spencer grinned, and couldn't help but let out a muffled laugh, "You are such a dork." Toby looked taken aback, and she giggled, leaning in. The kiss was sweet, but with a slight touch of desperation. She pulled away, reluctantly, and Toby gave another groan as she reached up and looped her arms around his neck.
"On second thought though, that does sound kind of amazing. Romeo".
