"so, him huh." aubrey's dad smiled. "now, now, anthony, our daughter just got home from a date, she's probably very very tired, let's have dinner and talk about him there." 

"yeah she probably is," anthony inhaled, "so where did this date take place in?"

"it wasn't a date, dad. he just walked me home." aubrey finally spoke. "i went to a cafe and apparently he was there too," aubrey sat down in front of her mom and took a spoonful of mashed potatoes into her mouth. "and on my way home, a few guys were trying to cause some trouble with me, he walked me home to make sure i arrived safely."

"well, he is such a kind boy and i'm very thankful he did that for you," her mom smiled. "but, why did he kiss your forehead in front of the porch?" 

 her cheeks flushed the color of pink as soon as her mother finished her sentence. "u-um he just.. um..." 

her parents burst out laughing. "well okay then, guess that's enought stories of embarassment for today." her dad said. they continued on with their dinner and aubrey's parents were a very happy couple, they were inseperable ever since highschool.

anthony though he coudn't be any happier after he married his best friend. his life was pretty much perfect when aubrey came along, they were his world, he loved them both more than he loved himself. 

as for sierra, her life was once filled with sadness. she never knew who her father was, but her mother was very loving towards her. she had a lot of step fathers who treated her like she was a maid. she tried to end her life because of sadness she felt every day. 

she never really experienced true happiness until she met a brown haired boy who's eyes were a beautiful shade of blue. he made the sun rise in her life, she finally felt happiness.

as soon as the  finished their dinner, aubrey went to her room to go to bed. she changed quickly to her pajamas. she sat on her bed and opened her phone, she plugged in her earphones and played her favorite playlist on spotify. she took a book that was sat on her bedside table. she always reads before she goes to bed while listening to calming songs that made her feel at peace.

her imagination ran wild while her eyes wondered through the pages of her book. her fingers ran down the side of the book, she thought about luke. his blonde quiff, his amazing legs, her thought shifted from a maze that was filled with monsters to a boy she just met. 

she thought about the date they arranged, she was worried about what he would think of her. she was worried about the clothes that she was gonna wear on that day. little did she know she spent about 20 minutes thinking about him. her eyes became heavy and her phone was already at 10%. she snapped out of her sleepiness and quickly charged her phone.

she took her earphones out and snuggled in her blanket, drifting into a deep sleep seconds after shutting her eyes.

meanwhile, luke was playing his guitar in a quiet relaxing tune, he felt so happy for a reason he did not know. he felt like he wanted to hug every living person in this world, he smiled widely while his eyes were closed and his fingers picking at the strings of the instrument.

he stopped playing at the tought of aubrey, his smile widen, her smile never left his head, he got up and went to his room. he sat down on his desk and leaned back on his chair. he felt even happier at the thought of the date, he wasn't certain if he was in love with her. 

he wanted to see her every time he woke up and every time he went to bed, his heart skips a beat every time he thinks about her beautiful face. he put his chin on his palm and his elbow on his desk. he took out his phone and played even the darkness has arms by the barr brothers.

he searched for the chords and memorized it, he wanted to play it to her when they go out for their date. at around 11 PM, he went to bed with a smile still sticking to his face, he hugged his pillow as if it was aubrey herself.

the next morning, he skipped to school as if he was 5 years old, greeting everyone he knew in the hallway. "well, someone's in love," he heard calum spoke behind him. "hey, calum." he smacked calum on the arm playfully.

"who is it hemmings?" he asked with one eyebrow raised.

"oh you wouldn't really care now would you?" ashton said, walking towards his two bestfriends.

"why wouldn't i care? i've never seen him this happy since his mom got him a remote controlled helicopter for his birthday last year,"

luke and ashton laughed at calum, "alright, do you know aubrey?" luke faced calum, 

"no," calum said. "aubrey holden?"

"nope, doesn't ring a bell." ashton said, putting his hands in his pockets. 

"well, she's the girl. and i'm actually going on a date with her today." luke said.

"well, good luck bro," calum pat luke on the back. luke gave calum a simple nod and turned his head to the left, only see aubrey walking to her locker. "there she is, i gotta go guys, see ya in class," he sprinted towards her while ashton and calum observed.

"hey, aubrey," luke put his hand on her shoulder. "h-hey," aubrey smiled. 

"we're still up for that date today right?" 

"yeah, of course." aubrey took out her book and walked away to class. luke walked right beside her, "so where are we going?" aubrey asked luke.

"it's a surprise" luke smiled. he took aubrey's hand in his own, they walked together to their first periods. some people stared at them and others smiled at how cute they looked.

one of them wasn't very happy about it though.
