New boy

Today was a school day - the first school day. It was boring.

To save you the struggle of reading some useless sh*t, I will kindly summarise it for you:
The day started, for me, at a surprising 6:30 am. I woke up feeling.... excited - unusual to say the least!
Just to clarify, I do not, I repeat, DO NOT hate school! I'm just not a morning person.
So, I woke up in a chirpy mood, got in the shower, got out the shower (I didn't wet my hair just to let you know), got dressed into my.... ugh absolutely dreadful uniform - a white button-down shirt, black blazer, black skirt, black tights and a navy tie (navy was our school colour) - boring, I know!

When I was dressed I skipped down the stairs to make my lunch for the day, breakfast and, most importantly, coffee.
After making my lunch - a peanut butter and jam sandwich with an apple - I boiled the kettle and put some Coco Pops into a bowl.
I looked at the time. It was 7:10 am.

The kettle was boiled so I made a black coffee with one sugar.

Since I still had 50 minutes until I had to leave for school I sat down on the sofa with my cereal and put Adventure Time on the TV.

It was a funny episode that included Lady Rainicorn and her family. I didn't want to get too comfortable so, drinking my mocha, I climbed the stairs and went to my room.

Usually, big houses have fairly large bedrooms; you would have thought, but most of the bedrooms in our house were small like mine.
When you open the door to my bedroom, my double bed is directly to your right. I have two shelves on the wall above my bed that are filled with storybooks and sketchbooks. The left side of the room is where my wardrobe and draws are situated. I keep my paints and art supplies on my draws since the hardwood surface makes for a good Instagram picture.
Above my draws, there are another two shelves but these hold my makeup and nail polish. (Also my coin collection - don't ask).
I have a small but comfy desk chair near the end of my bed; it is next to my desk (which i decorated myself!)
On the wall above my desk, several inspiring notes are blue tacked in an organised mess.

I needed to make myself look presentable so I searched for my hair brush so that I could do my hair. I couldn't find it. I had clothes scattered all over my floor; as usual.
After what felt like hours of searching, I quit and went into my bathroom (yes - I have my own. It's at the end of my room) to wash my face.

Before I had the chance to dry my face, someone was knocking on my bathroom door.

"Ari, are you decent in there!?" Opening the door, I grabbed a towel to pat my face dry. I looked up to see my brother, Holden. He was looking down at me slightly because he was about 5'9 and I was only 5'4.

"Good morning, big brother! How are you on this wonderful day? I bet you're not as excited as I am and have you seen my hair brush by any chance....?" I trailed off because I could tell I was beginning to annoy him.
He sighed and held up his hand. I saw my hairbrush in it and smiled. I said thanks and he left.

My brother was one year and a few months older than I was. He was born on the 24th March and I was born on the 15th June. He was seventeen and I was sixteen so we weren't in the same year at school, in fact, he went to the sixth form now.

As I said, my brother is fairly tall. He has slightly lighter skin to me and his hair is not as curly as mine. He does, however, have similar facial features to me. Or should I say I have similar facial features to him since he is older.
Anyway I'm not sure how to describe him but my best friend, Bria, would tell you that he is deadly hansom. She has had a major crush on him for years!

I left my house at 8:05. I had to be there at 8:20 so I had plenty of time.
Like usual, I called Bria to let her know I was on my way to her house. We walked to school together and arrived on time.
I didn't see many people in the morning or at lunch or in the afternoon. Hence, my day was sh*t.

My day did however get slightly better during my last lesson - maths. There was a new boy in my class and I was sure that I hadn't seen him before. I must have been staring because when he turned around, to look at me, he looked at me like I was a psychopath. He smiled at me and I smiled back. He turned his head to face the other direction again but could tell that he was smirking.

After the long but interesting class, I felt a tall figure towering over me as I started packing my bags.

"Um.... I'm new here", a deep, obviously nervous voice made me jump. "sorry, I didn't mean to startle you", he continued. I was facing him now and I must say that he wasn't bad looking at all. I couldn't tell how tall he was because I was siting down. Of course he was wearing uniform but I felt like it looked.... good in him! Realising I was staring, yet again, I stood up and finally spoke.

"Yeah Hi, I'm Ariana. I've been going here forever and I thought you were new here. Whats your name?" I stopped myself there before I started rambling. I didn't want to make a bad impression - especially not on him.
He stepped back as a sign for me to walk. I grabbed my bag and turned around to see him holding the door open for me. I walked through it smiling.

"I'm Wyatt and I love your hair by the way", his comment made me laugh - almost everyone said that.

Until next time! :)

Thank you for reading!!!! I hope you liked it.
