I hopped down off the counter and stepped over to my mom, I felt angry that she didn't know what happened for real and I was about to get scolded. But I didn't she put a hand on top of my head and messed up my hair "Olivia's mother called me, Olivia told her that you helped her. I'm proud of you." my mom was being nice and I could hardly believe it, I looked up at her with wet eyes, smiling so big my cheeks started to hurt.
She took the cookie jar off of the counter, reached in and handed me one before putting it back in the cupboard, I stared at her a little longer before rushing up to my room, I could feel the tears start to roll down my cheeks and off my chin. Olivia knew it was me who saved her at break and not the Josh kid! I could hardly believe it. I went up to my bedroom. I was ready to sit with Olivia in science tomorrow.
