I walked all the way home before school even let out, I shuffled down the sidewalks slowly, kicking rocks as I went. I looked down to my watch, school had let out five minutes ago, and I'd be late home because I left the school. I was walking slower now, I couldn't stop thinking about everything and I wish I had something to break the silence. I began to whistle and I did all the way home.

By the time I got home the street lights had already turned on all the streets, my mom was waiting outside and she didn't look happy with me. I began to cry again as I tried to push past her so she didn't have to see me crying. She grabbed my arm and I screamed out, tears streaming from my eyes. She began to yell but I couldn't hear her over my crying, I cried and cried until she finally let me go and told me to go to my room, how could she be so cruel? I ran up the stairs half tripping and hid in my bed all night. I didn't eat dinner, and I wasn't offered.
