Derek's POV

I felt something stabbing me painfully in the side. I opened my eyes and saw Argent standing above me, poking me in the side with a sharp knife. I sat up, rubbing my side.

"So, Derek, have you made your decision?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm going to go and find the president." He poked me in the back with the knife and I stood up quickly.

"Go on then," he said, prodding me along. I glanced back at Stiles' door and thought about last night. I had told him that I loved him. He had said that he loved me back. I was pretty sure that I was gay, considering the way I had looked at Stiles.

Once Argent had forced me down the hall and out the doors, he led me to a helicopter pad. I stepped inside while he stood outside. I looked down as the helicopter lifted off from the ground.

"Don't worry Stiles, I'll be back soon." He couldn't hear me but it made me feel like I was more connected with him. We flew for a little bit before I could just make out the White House farther down. We landed a couple of miles off and I was forced out of the helicopter. I started walking towards where I had last seen the White House. I hadn't had food or water for a couple of days so I was running on empty. I slowly made my way forwards. The White House was in view when I felt my body completely shut down. I crumpled in the grass.

I'm going to die, I thought to myself. I'm sorry Stiles.

I woke up to laying in a soft comfortable bed. I sat up immediately and looked around the room. I could see a couple of guards standing in front of the door. I recognized the inside of the White House. I carefully stood up and began making my way over to the door. I walked outside and neither of the guards tried to stop me. Instead, one of them pointed down the hallway. I made my way there until I came to a door and it was opened for me. Inside, President Stilinksi was sitting in a chair, surrounded by guards with tears in his eyes.

"Derek Hale!" He shouted, standing up straight. "Where is my son?"

"Sir, you have to hear me out. Stiles is ok for now but he is being held captive. The only way that he can be saved is if I bring you there."

"Of course I'll go." All of the guards began denying and telling him not to but he ignored them and grabbed his coat off from the back of his chair.

"Sir, I actually have a better idea about how to approach this. I know that if I bring you in there, they'll kill both you and Stiles. I don't want him getting hurt so we need to figure out a way to get him out of there without getting anyone killed."

"Since when did you become so involved in my son's life?" It wasn't my place to explain to John about whether or not Stiles and I were a thing, mostly because I didn't even know if we were a thing.

"Since I became his bodyguard and he became one of my best friends. Now, listen closely Sir, because unless we do this precisely, someone may get hurt." Once John and I had gone over the plan, we went outside and got into a car. When we got to the Argent base, John got out and I followed him inside.

"Argent!" I yelled. I heard movement and I looked up to see Argent walking in, dragging Stiles in behind him.

"Stiles!" John said.

"Derek! Dad!"

"So, you brought the president here?" I nodded and John stepped forward until he was up beside his son.

"You've done good Derek. Unfortunately, we can't give you your payment just yet." I looked up at Stiles, who was staring at me in absolute disbelief.

"Why not?" I asked.

"You betrayed me!" Stiles screamed down at me. I looked away from him in embarrassment.

"Well, we may make a deal to get money, as well as the country, if we keep Stiles here."

"Stiles was part of the deal," I said.

"Sorry Derek," Argent said, shrugging his shoulders. He turned and at that second, I pulled my hand gun out of my pocket and shot both guards who were beside Stiles and Jon. Argent turned, his gun up, but I had already shot the two guards by the door. Now it was just Stiles, Jon, Argent, three more guards, and I. Two of the guards ran at me. I dodged one bullet and cringed when one streaked across my side. Ignoring the growing pain, I kicked out at one of the guards, who fell on his face. The third guard, who was a lot bigger than I was, shoved me from behind. I rolled onto my back and looked up to see his gun, pointed directly at my face. There was a bang and I looked up to see Jon shoot the guard.
I stood up, putting on hand on my side. I wanted to look down but I knew that seeing my wound would only make it worse. I pointed my gun at Argent.
"End of the line," I said. Argent shook his head.
"Not yet." He ran towards me, knocking the gun out of my hand. We began to fight hand to hand. It was evenly matched until I started to get dizzy from loss of blood. Argent dug his foot into my injured side. I fell on the ground, the world seeming to spin. I could hear Stiles yelling my name as Argent pointed his gun at me.
"This is truly the end of the line," Argent said. I tried to move but my side seemed to be on fire. All I could do was extend my legs out. I searched for Stiles so I could get one last look at him before I died but he wasn't where he was last. I closed my eyes, flinching when I heard the bang. There was no pain. I frowned and opened my eyes. Stiles was standing there, a gun in his hand, positioned like a baseball bat. Argent was on the floor, blood dripping out of his head. Stiles slid to the ground beside me.
"Derek," Stiles said. "Stay with me Sourwolf." My eyes closed and the last thing I saw before I went out was Stiles, looking down at me in concern.

A/N
I'm so sorry about the not updating. I've been dealing with SATs, which suck. I'm back now and I've got two people to bring up in this note.
@sourwolf_hale
For reminding me that I have fabulous people who are reading this book and are probably upset about there being no updates for weeks.
And
@maxlarkin4
For answering my question in the previous chapter. Thank you to both of you. Sorry for the cliff hanger btw. I'm assuming that if your in school this is showing up just as you get home or a little bit before. Vote and comment, if you don't hate me yet.
Love,
Taylor
