As Marinette, she attends a middle school with Adrien. Her best friend, Alya, writes the Ladyblog, where she is trying to find out who Ladybug actually is and records Ladybug's heroic feats. Marinette secretly has a crush on Adrien, but the mayor's daughter, Chloè, already loves him, and isn't afraid to show it! Her parents own a bakery, and their apartment is above it. Marinette's room leads to the roof above, where she frequently becomes Ladybug.
