Hawkmoth is the master villain that Ladybug and Chat Noir fights. He can akumatize unsuspecting citizens and turn them into villains, in return for them trying to retrieve Chat Noir's and Ladybug's miraculous. So far, no one has succeeded. It was recently revealed that he has his own miraculous, the butterfly miraculous, whose kwami is Nooroo. Akumas are white butterflies that have been turned evil and have the power to affect any one and make them Hawkmoth's champion. Ladybug can purify them with her yo-yo and then release them as normal butterflies. Most fans suspect that Hawkmoth is Adrien's father, Gabriel Agrest.
