The song that killed

Pianist

        The music from a piano seeped through the windows as the sun slowly fall. The sound of hoof steps on the stone road made Savannah stop and look out the window. She sighed, it was just the princes. Savannah turned back to her music just as a man in a green cloak walked in.

"You're finally back! Took you long enough." Savannah said without looking.

"I would have been faster but he market was having a sail on meat. I just had to stop." He smiled as he set his green cloak on a chair. "One day we'll make lot of money and I'll buy us a bigger house. We'll have the best thing like a new piano, similar to the one at the castle. Princess Faith will beg to meet me."

Laughter sprang from Savannah. "Oh yes, she will marry you in a second." She said jokingly. She stood up and danced towards him. "Oh John let us run away together. For my mother dose not approve of you but I love you."

John took his sister's hand. "I am your knight, your servant, your one and only I would fallow to the end of the earth. I would die for you. I will protect you." he stood "But alas, my sister needs me and I would have to leave her alone. She would spend all our money."

They both collapsed with laughter. "Her ladyship would never marry you. If we were rich I would buy as much paper and ink as I could. I would also buy one of those meter-noms. I would travel the world playing my songs for noblemen and royalty." Savannah glanced out the window. "I should get some water before it gets too late."

"By the time you get there it would be midnight. Why not just do it tomorrow?"

"Because everyone will be there. I would like to make an early start."

"Do you know were it is?"

"I can find the well"

Savannah grabbed her cloak, a lantern, sword, bucket, and her ocarina. Opening the door, she started her walk to the well. It was a ways off, about two hour on horseback and if you were traveling on foot, about four hours. the city of Anderya was huge and the well at the edge of the forest. Savannah turned and stared walking. about a half hour into her trip she stopped to ask a jester which way to go.

When she arrived it was past midnight. Savannah stared into the dark forest in front of her. People say that only crazy people go in there. When they go in they never come out. there was a sighting of a dragon that went in there. Hunters found its remains the next day. People say that witches put a curse on the place. Just thinking about it made Savannah shutter. She turned and tied her bucket to the rope, but before she could throw it down she was ran into by something and she blacked out. Savannah's ocarina dropped out of her bag.

"Stupid fairy." saids who ever hit her. Savannah slowly started to gain consciousness. "Oh my the fairy must have hit you too." Said the woman as she was brushing a blond curl out of her face. "I'm Princess Faith; who might you be?"
