I carried Tony out to his room while he continued to smear syrup all over my neck and shirt, chuckling when he would laugh slightly at himself.

"Let's get this sticky boy washed up."

"No bath." He whispered softly, sounding more like a plea.

"Agreed, no bath for my little scientist." I said as I carried him over to the sink, standing him up and turning the water on.

"Can you start to wash your hands while I grab a clothe for your face?" I asked as I made sure he was steady on his feet before stepping away.

"Mhmm." He hummed.

I turned and grabbed a hand towel from the cabinet.

Turning back around I saw Tony splashing in the sink as the water filled up, the drain being stopped by the plug.

"Tony, don't get water everywhere please." I said as I pulled the drain.

While I'm wetting the clothe, I hear a faint sniffle from Tony.

'Dear lord' I thought quietly to myself.

"Tony what's wrong? Are you hurt?" I ask, bringing the towel out from the water.

"I-I'm sorry." He whimpered out, looking pitiful.

"It's okay, it was just a little water so it won't hurt anybody." I tried to calm him down, putting a hand on his shoulder.

He nodded and gave one last sniffle before drying his hands on a nearby towel.

I ruffled his hair before starting to wipe his face.

I misjudged when he breathed in, accidentally running the dripping clothe over his nose.

He lurched back and gripped his arc reactor, looking at me as if I just killed his dog.

"I'm sorry Tony, what's wrong?" I asked reaching slowly towards him.

He flinched away from my touch and slid down the wall, curling into himself.

"Tony?" I asked, getting on my knees at a safe distance.

"N-no water." He whimpered out, gripping his knees tightly.

"Okay, we're done with water. No more water." I say in a, hopefully, calming tone.

He nodded and continued to shake, gripping his knees tighter.

"Tony, let Daddy help. Can you come to daddy for me?" I asked slowly.

He nodded and half scooted half crawled into my lap.

I held him tightly and let him shiver in my arms.

"It's okay Tony, I got you. I'm so sorry for doing that, it wasn't on purpose. Please forgive me." I repeated in his ear quietly.

He didn't say anything but just nodded and wrapped his arms around my neck, pressing his face into my collar bone.

"Up?" he asked, still slightly shaken.
