Why did you lie to me!?

(Shadowfire's POV)

(I was in my den thinking then I realized I was lying to Midnight the whole time since her mom died. I told her that she ran off when she was a pup but she actually died while having her.)

Uh Midnight? (Shadowfire)

Yes? (Midnight)

Can I speak with you? Alone? (Shadowfire)

(She nodded and padded out of the den with Blackfire watching the pups.)

What is it? (Midnight)

Its about your mother. (Shadowfire)

I already know what happened. (Midnight)

No you don't. I lied to you so you wouldn't run off. (Shadowfire)

Wha-what? (Midnight)

(I told her what really happened but when I looked up she wasn't crying, she was growling at me!)

Why did you lie to me!? (Midnight)

(I sighed then told her. Now when I looked up she was crying.)

(She continued to cry so I comforted her with soothing licks.)

You alright? (Shadowfire)

Yeah. I should head back. The pups are hungry I'm guessing. (Midnight)

(I nodded and we both walked off not looking back.)
