The frozen lake is brutal,
Yet I still go to drown;
If the water wasn't frozen
I'd already by far down,
But you find me all abandoned,
And you ignore our fights,
And you sit right down beside me,
And talk about our dreamless nights...
Well I ask if you can help me,
'Cause I know that I'm to blame,
And the ice starts to melting
By your freshly lit flame.I see us in the water,
Our love distorted by the waves,
If only we could jump in together
And we'd be together in our graves;
But you won't let me jump at all,
You say I have to live...
If only I could cry,
But I have no tears to give.
So we remain broken lovers,
Gazing at the twinkling lights,
You talking about flying;
Me about my dreamless nights.
