A Dream Is A Wish Your Hart Makes

Chapter 4

   If Maya wanted to have fun, then fun is what they're going to have.
   Riley walked over to the stand the stereo was resting on, grabbing Maya's phone. She then proceeded to scroll through all of the Disney songs Maya has horded over the past couple of years. Finally seeing the title she was looking for, Riley selected it before walking back towards her girlfriend.
   Riley was delighted to see Maya's face light up when the beginning notes played through the small dorm. Her face lighted up even more when Riley began to belt out the starting lyrics.
   "I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?"
   Riley and Maya began a dance around the dorm. Spinning and jumping, making up and improvised duet as the song goes on
   "I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride.
   "A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming."
   As the first part of the duet ended, Maya prepared for the second.
   "A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here, it's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you."
   While Maya proceeded to sing the chorus to the song, Riley took it upon herself to lift her girlfriend into her arms. Maya, catching on, wrapped her legs around Riley's waist to ensure that she would not end up lying on the floor in the near future. After she was secure in her captor's arms, she began to reenact some choreography that Riley and her saw on Dancing With the Stars.
   As the couple kept up the spinning and interpretive "dancing," Riley soon realized that she was beginning to lose her balance. Trying not to crush the slightly smaller stature of her girlfriend, Riley fell, not so gracefully, onto her back along the seats of the 3 person couch the pair owned.
   Maya, realizing that the person she had secured her body to was not standing up straight, stuck out her arms to brace herself from the fall. As the two settled along the large piece of furniture, they opened their eyes to see their faces only what seemed like inches apart. Caught up in the moment, Maya leaned in.
   As the girls' lips met, it was like a hunger took over them. Riley's hands that were resting against the seat of the couch raised up to rub against Maya's thighs, her right one eventually entangling itself in the head of golden locks above her. Maya dropped down to her elbows, allowing her to comfortably rest her hands against the back of Riley's neck, pulling her head even closer to her own.
   While the duo layed there, tongues intertwining similarly to some of the dance moves they performed only a short while ago, they heard a knock at the door. Finally breaking the kiss for a much needed breath, Maya reached up to the stand to retrieve her phone. Still straddling her girlfriend, she paused the music.
   "Come in!"
   A few moments later a familiar face, eyes covered by the owners bare hand, walked in.
   "Are you both decent?"
   "Huckleberry!"
   Seeing their childhood friend, Maya jumped up from her earlier position to encase him in a tight hug, leaving Riley smiling at them from the couch.
"Is it safe to enter?" Said another familiar voice from just outside the door. As Riley stood to join her company, she walked to the door to greet their other guest.
   "Yes, Farkle. It's safe to enter." Riley said with a laugh.
   With that the group all stood together in the small living space.
   "Well, now that the gang's all here, what do ya'll want to do?" Maya said, imitating a southern accent and nudging Lucas in the side.
   "Why don't we watch a movie?" Riley recommend.
   The group all finally agreed on a movie: San Andreas. They then began splitting into their seating arrangements. Maya and Riley taking up most of the main couch, with Lucas and Farkle sharing one of the slightly smaller lounge chairs.
   As Maya looks up from her spot laying on top of Riley, she sees the other couple cuddling into each other while the title screen begins to fade away and the movie begins to start. She smiles to herself, content with the sight in front of her.
   "Larkle for the win..." Maya whispered as the first scenes of the movie began to play.
   Riley did have to agree, they did make a cute couple.
