Sunday passed quickly and finally Monday came. Paige was in her room deciding on what to wear. In the end she chose a pair of jeans, a baggy cream coloured jumper and some light brown low boots. She combed her brown hair and, since it was naturally straight, she just left it as it was.

"Paige, are you coming?" Her mum shouted from downstairs.

"Yeah, just a sec!" Paige answered.

She quickly put on some mascara and ran downstairs to have breakfast.

"Hey sweetie" Her mum said. "I cooked you breakfast. How did you sleep last night? I slept like a log, that bed is really comfy! Well are you ready for school?"

"Hmpf" Paige answered, as she chewed on her piece of toast. She gave it one last bite, and gulped down her orange juice.

"Hey! What's with the speed?" Her mum asked.

"Sorry mum, it's just that I agreed to meet Josh at eight so he can show me the way to the school" Paige said.

"Oh, ok." Her mum said. "You're really getting on well with that Josh boy, I mean, you only met him two days ago..."

"Mum we're not dating and I don't fancy him." Paige stated realising what her mum meant.

"I never said that!" Her mum argued pouting.

"But you thought so!" Paige laughed. She gave her mum a kiss and ran upstairs to brush her teeth before leaving.

Josh had woken up fairly early. Today he would be showing Paige around the school. He put on a pair of jeans and a shirt and run downstairs to have breakfast.

"Hey honey" His mum, Maura said.

"Hi mum" Josh said giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Nice, pancakes!" He said sitting down and stacking a few on his plate.

"Yes, you'll need a lot of energy if you're going to show Paige around" Maura said smiling.

"Mm, yeah" Josh answered eating his pancakes. "Mum can you pass the maple syrup please?" He asked.

"Sure here you go sweetie." She said passing him the bottle with the syrup. "Well, this Paige girl... She looks nice. When did you say you met her?" She asked.

"Erm... on Saturday... Why?" He asked giving her a questioning look.

"No, just wandering..." She replied.

"Mum we're not dating and I don't fancy her." Josh said, looking serious. "Anyways it's getting late, I should be leaving... Bye."

He grabbed his backpack full of books and folders and left. He walked down the street to the bus stop, where he had agreed to meet Paige. There she was.

She looked really pretty, she was naturally beautiful, but today her hazel eyes were shining brighter than the last two days. Josh supposed she was excited to go to school and meet new people.

"Hey" He said, giving her a hug. Wow she smelled really good.

"Hello!" She answered. "Are you ready?" She asked.

"Hey! I should be the one asking that!" Josh laughed.

"Well you were too slow, I said it before you!" Paige said giggling.

"Madame, are you ready to go to the most boring school on earth?" Josh asked, failing to do a British accent.

"Of course I am Charles." Paige said keeping her nose up and imitating perfectly a british posh lady.

"Hey! Since when is my name Charles and since when did you have such a cool British accent?" Josh asked.

"Well, number one, since I decided on naming you my butler, and number two, since I come from island 122 and before the earthquake it used to be part of London." Paige answered.

"Oh, is that so?" Josh asked. "Well Miss, we're going to be really late if we don't leave now." He informed her.

"Well, let's get going!" Shouted Paige grabbing his hand and running down the street.

"Hey, how do I look?" Gemma asked.

"You look fine Gemma!" Ethan answered, for about the ninth time.

"But fine isn't enough!" Gemma protested.

Ethan stopped her in the middle of the hallway and made her look at him in the eyes.

"Gemma, you look beautiful, you could stop the entire universe with your smile if you wanted, if Ashton hasn't noticed you yet it's just because he's a complete asshole who only notices bimbos with over-done makeup."

Gemma's green eyes were shining. "Do you really think so?" She asked.

"Nah, not really, I just wanted you to shut up." Ethan answered winking at her.

"Oh my gosh Ethan! You did not just say that!" Gemma shouted hitting him with the folder she was carrying.

Ethan started running down the hallway followed closely by Gemma until he bumped into someone.

"Sorry dude, I was just...Josh! Hey man!" He said.

"Morning!" Josh answered. "Ethan, this is Paige, my next-door neighbour. She moved in on Saturday."

"Well, hello beautiful!" Ethan said taking her hand and kissing it.

By that time Gemma had already caught up.

"Oh, don't worry about him, he's just that cheesy." Gemma said, giving Ethan a last 'Thwack!' with her folder and receiving an 'Ouch!' in return. "I'm Gemma" She said shaking Paige's hand.

"Pleased to meet you, oh and Ethan too." Paige said giggling.

"So Paige" Josh asked. "What's your first class?"

Paige looked at her timetable. "Erm... French."

"Yes!!!" Gemma exclaimed. "You'll be coming with me sweetheart" She said grabbing Paige's arm and linking it with hers. "You boys can go to your History class... Goodbye!"

Both boys scowled at her but started walking torwards the East Wing.

"Well, French class is over here." Gemma said guiding her through the corridors.

Wow, this school was big...
