Tears came down as I stared onto his kind, pale face. Memories and flashbacks raced through my head, making me more sad and filled with anger. Everyone was ungrateful of this day, of how his death affected us all.

Everything he did for us will be honorable. Everything he accomplished will be remembered and pleased.

Everything Hisashi did will be unforgettable

Everything Hisashi did will be unforgettable......

"Hisashi's work will be honored throughout his entire lifespan. He had lived a peaceful and memorable life, meeting every one of you and learning from you, I'm sure all of you will know that, and his spirit will dwell in our hearts forever. Now, let us sing the farewell hymn."

As Elder Choff starting singing, everyone in the village started to join in. Everyone starts out quiet and dim, but then gets more passionate and filled with heart.

This song is what helps us remind that the one who is gone, is not gone forever, and will leave us peace and hope for the future...

It took a moment for the hymn to come to its end, and the whole village seemed to have stopped their tears. I have stopped crying as well, but not on the inside. A guard closed the casket and picked it up along with other guards, carrying it towards the Peace Tributary ( A/N: a tributary is another word for river 😄 ) leaving everyone following behind. Usually, the decease's family goes in front of everyone, but since Hisashi doesn't have blood related family in the village, Lilliana and I were the only ones who were closets to him, so we walked in the front.

It was a long walk to the tributary, but not long enough to make our knees tired out. Along the way, I could still hear people's weeps and cries. And I too was one of them... When we arrived at the shore, the guards gently set down the casket onto the grass and Elder Choff began to say his speech.

" Before we do the release of Hisashi, let us remember all of the grateful things he has done for us. Please everyone take a moment and refer to those memories."

Out of all the memories I had with Hisashi, there was one that brought happiness to me....

~~Flashback~~

"What's that noise? It sounds like a baby crying!"

I saw a man that was coming over to me...

"Hold on I'm coming child!"

I was scared...

"Where are you coming from?!"

I was worried it could've been a mindless man, coming to kill me...

"I can hear you, you're close!"

But my thoughts weren't overpowered by what I actually saw...

"There you are, it's ok' I'm here now"

In front of me was a kind faced man, looking upon my trembling eyes.

"Sh sh, it's ok now. Sh sh. Here I got you"

And he wasn't a mindless killer or a scary person...

"It's ok , It's ok"

He was just a curious man, carrying a crying baby, hushing it.... For some reason, I felt safe with this stranger who I barely know. I was in his caring arms, becoming more calmer every second. When the man took me in, he became my loving guardian for the years to come... And he never left my side.

"Where are your parents, I wonder. But it's ok I'll take care of you, young one"

"Pa - pa"

I never doubted him since that faithful day when he took me in. And I knew, that he would never doubt me as well....

                                                                             ❤️ ~~ End of Flashback ~~ ❤️
