Through my years of being a mermaid, I've gotten used to going in and out of the water when I need to.
I usually go in to see Sharky, but I also go in to swim and see what I've missed in that week or month.
The ocean is a wonderful place. Everything has gotten so much better since a few years ago. Merpeople have accepted me as a mermaid, and treated me just as I was one. They put trust in me, they laugh with me, they do so much stuff with me.
The ocean is like a second world to me. I have the human world, where everything is boring and bland, and then the mermaid world. Everything is beautiful and exotic. It's energetic to swim.
Don't get me wrong, running is also exhilarating, but it hurts when you do it to much.
Swimming never gets old. It helped me get my mind off of college, it helped me get my mind off of a friend that was treating me badly. But I would also, usually just go and rant to Sharky.
After a long day at my job as a waitress, I went to my apartment that was right across from the ocean. I went home, sat down, then looked out over the vast, blue ocean. I sighed, resting my head on my palm as I watched the waves crash onto the shore, turning to foam then retracting back into the ocean.
After a few minutes of resting, I got up and put on my swim suit, which included a blue bikini, and a blue bottom. I made my way down to the ocean, looking over it once more. I stared out at the ocean. I saw Sharky, with his shark outfit on, waving at me from about a football field's length away.
I smiled, waved back, and started to run toward the ocean. I got into the water, feeling the resistance on my feet as I ran. The water splashed all over my legs, and up my body as I made it further and further into the depths of the ocean.
I got far enough, to where I dove into the water, swimming toward Sharky, my tail not appearing yet.
I felt my tail starting to appear. I stopped where I was, and looked down at my legs to watch. It always made me happy to see my two human legs turn into a mermaid tail.
My legs started to shimmer a light blue shimmer, rising from my legs to the top of the water. Then, it started to bubble, fizzing, also to the top of the water. Even though the fizzing and the shimmer was blocking my line of sight from my tail, I still saw my tail. After the bubbling, I saw my legs slowly start to morph together. Once that happened, my feet fizzed, forming the finn at the bottom of my tail. Once it was done, my tail still fizzed, making a few more finns, and the scales of the tail.
I started to swim as a mermaid toward Sharky.
I was so happy to be back in the ocean. I felt the ocean water on my face, I felt water pull my hair as I swam. I felt my tail whip and push the water around me to its advantage, and move me forward.
And I love it.

FantasyThe second book to Merida's Mermaid Story. I am trying to get myself to write it and finish it. And I will try so hard to put as much detail as I can. But I am still a child, so don't expect much from me.
