Chandra....

"Y'all like how auntie Paris and uncle Marco fixed your rooms up,girls?"

"I love my room mama!"

"Me too, I ain't never coming out."

"I like mine too but yours prettier ma. Can we have a sleep over in your room tonight?"

Maya asked me.

"Yeah baby we sure can, that'll be fun."

"Come here let me holla at you right quick Chandra."

Quincy said through the back door.

"Girls y'all go and finish putting your shoes and clothes away, I'll be up in a minute to help y'all, then we can go out and get junk food for our girls night."

They all got excited then went on their way. I went out back where I found Quincy smoking a blunt by the pool.

"Quincy I told you I didn't want you doing that at my house. Put it out please."

He hesitantly did what I asked him to while mean mugging me.

"Thank you.. Now wassup I was having a conversation with my girls."

"My girls, my girls, the girls, girls, girls, girls... That's all I ever hear about these days..."

"Okay.... And ? What's your point?"

"Nun man.. Why you tell them y'all having a girls night tonight?"

"Umm because they asked and I thought it was a good idea, why not?"

I was thrown off by how Quincy had been acting lately.. And frankly I was getting tired of it.

He stood up and wrapped his arms around me.

"I was thinking me and you would have grown up time tonight. I mean it has been eight months, I been trying to play it yo way but, its been long enough.

I was thinking, you got the new bed and all... So why don't we christen it."

"Umm I don't know about that Quincy."

"What you don't know? You wanna be in this with me or not?"

"You know I do but I'm not having sex with you while my girls are home, frankly I'm not even ready for that yet.. I mean Marco and Paris just hooked our house up and I wanna celebrate with my kids."

"How much longer you think imma wait for you to be ready? You know how many bitches out there trying to get with me? I turn em down cause I wanna be with you."

"I wanna be with you too,but if you can't understand where I'm coming from then maybe you should go find those girls that's thirsting after you."

"Nah.. Ion wanna do that I want you."

"Well just wait until I'm ready then."

"You know it is. I told you that was the only man I was ever with, its not easy to just jump in the bed with you just cause you want me to, I gotta want it to."

I couldn't believe that once again he was being so blunt and heartless about Main being dead.
