So here's the story... I have been in Choir for about 3 years. And every year I hope we song a Taylor song... Well yesterday, we were getting new music and my teacher was showing us some options and one of the options was... SAFE AND SOUND BY TAY. Of course I just about cried. She was playing the regular versions to us on YouTube and I could see the laptop, and so I saw Taylor and I just about lost it. E V E R Y O N E looked at me. I mean everyone. I turned bright red and my hands flew to my mouth and my heart raced a mile a minute at the excitement. I couldn't believe it was even an option.
My friend was all "DON'T CRY DON'T DO IT" I really struggled. The rest of the day I couldn't stop thinking about it. All chill was lost. I died. Rip me.
And today, she announced we were for sure singing it and handed out the sheet music. We sang most of it today, it's a pretty easy piece! I am the harmony!! I am so excited to be learning a different part of the song!!! Also... I am trying out for the solo! It'll be my first time ever trying out for a solo. *If* I don't get the solo, it'll be alright. Then I can say the first song I ever tried out for a solo was a TAYLOR SONG. But *when* I get the solo I will be able to say, the first time I ever sang solo was in a TAYLOR SONG. So either way I am so excited. I am beyond excited, is there a word for that?? Ecstatic?? I don't know. I feel almost as happy as I did when I saw Taylor. I'll update on this as I am really happy. I almost cried today too, listening to how everyone was singing it and it was so great :')
Wish me luck on my solo!! *crosses fingers I get it*
BTW I have a lot of updating to do... So keep a look out!!
